ABC News Was Misquoted on Crowd Size
ABC News Reported D.C. Rally Size in Tens of Thousands, Not 1M to 1.5M as Activist Said.
Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News.
Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.
At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large.

You can be sure that if a satellite photo of yesterday’s crowd existed, Obama has ensured its destruction!
They may have been around the peripheral. We saw several small groups of 2-3 that were obviously not part of our group in side, but they were irrelevant.

I doubt it. When she and the “other JoysKid” were with us they stood.
You missed a good one.

Check out 2nd to last picture in the link. In front of the Capitol hadn’t yet filled in. But looks like those who march are already in place sine Pennsylvania Ave is empty.

One of those pictures is NOT from yesterday. The second to last picture, the aerial shot looking towards the capitol is from the Promise Keepers rally 10 years ago.
The second to last photo is NOT from the 9/12 rally. Its from the Promise Keepers rally 10 or so years ago.
Thanks so much for the info. The link’s title is wrong then. I’ll address the bad info as I ping people.
[Mr] T
Well I am sure glad you did. ;)
I didn’t say it was. When I first posted the link there were only two photos posted - the day-after from the Inauguration and the day-after from the 9/12 rally.
Hi there kid!
NO, but it is a look alike...hat,vest, flag etc. I thought it was my double. I was “walking” yesterday.
By the way when the folks came in for the speeches there was not an open space like that left for blocks. There were just a few single file lines of people trying to get to another area...
NO DOUBT IT WAS OVER A MILLION!
The early morning group from the Freedom Park had been on their feet celebrating for up to 3 hours and marching for over an hour to get there. They were exhausted, and hungry, by 1 PM and as many people seemed to be leaving as were more coming after that... get a 1PM crowd estimate and add for the overlap and you will have a total number.
If they're whining, they're lying!!!
I was on the Capitals lawn. Sometimes I had room to move, other times I did not. Most of the people trying to walk around either had to "jump, bend or maneuver" around us. Or, we just stepped out of the way...which meant the others around us had to step as well.
So ABC is backing off?
The Daily Mail reported the crowd at nearly 2 million. All I know was that it as people as far as the eye could see and beyond in every direction.
Teh owner of teh paper did a fundraiser for Hillary.
They said there were similar rallies in 45 states. I wonder what happened to the other 12.
Were you there? I didn’t see you did you see me?
The NBC news reporter said the crowd was in the hundreds of thousands. That’s a whole lot of people by anyone’s standard. I wonder what our President and 1st Lady’s reaction was - other than staying out of town a few days.
I will note that there were tents set up in the mall between the Washington Monument and the WW II memorial on Friday, so I believe that there was a separate smaller event at that end of the mall on Saturday. The larger of the March on Washington crowd would probably have been in the direction of Pennsylvania Avenue where the march took place.
