The communications director for the National Endowment for the Arts is no longer in his job amid a flap over suggestions he suggested artists work to further President Obama's legislative agenda.
A conservative artist writing on the site Big Hollywood first complained that the official, later identified as Yosi Sargent, had been on a conference call with artists aimed at furthering President Obama's legislative agenda -- a bit of a no-no for the agency, which does its best to stay apolitical.

Huffington Post's Ryan Grim reported that Sergant had been "asked to resign," and played it as another scalp -- like Van Jones' -- for Glenn Beck.

NEA communications director Yosi Sargent (bearded guy), a promoter of Shepard Fairey's famous Hope poster.
Yosi Sargent, dedicated Obama supporter who worked for the Obama campaign.
Yosi Sargent worked with the artist Shepherd Fairey and organized the Obama campaign's artist arm.
You want to make sure your son can fight? Name him sparrow.
What did Shakespear say about the green eyed monster?
End all government subsidies to the arts. And I mean all arts. Government has no business inserting itself in artistic creation. That is what Nazis and Bolsheviks do.
This is how stupid it gets. In the Netherlands the Dutch government actually buys the art of any artist who cannot sell it elsewhere. There are huge warehouse where mold-infested paintings lie festering in piles and stacks.
The irony is that artists should prize independence and individualism rather than conformity. Socialism is every opposite of that. Artists were at the forefront of dissidence in the Soviet Union and other communist regimes. In the west they are usefull tools of the regime.
That's Shepherd Smith's maiden name.
Beck said it himself:
A. It’s not about him
B. You still have to watch these creeps
C. While we’re focused on one thing, something else is going on.
“In truth, Sergant and Jones have something else in common: Both are outsiders from Washington’s careful culture...”
So, Ben, you’re suggesting that these two communist, America hating thugs were simply “unused” to Washington’s ways and therefore too apt to reveal their true beliefs?? Just about what I would expect from the Politico.
Great, are you suggesting Beck should not have wasted his time?
Should Beck be like the other GOP representatives - “who cares, we are supposed to be non-partisian”.
This is the second time I have seen Glenn Beck’s efforts at revealing who these people are to the American public minimized as nothing, one of those was Bill O’Reilly himself. In fact make that 3 times.
How come you are not grateful that at least somebody is looking at these people? How come you have to make a comment indicating his effort is worthless. There has to be a reason and I am pretty sure I can pinpoint what that reason is.
Guess you just want more and more of the GOP effort we have in Washington - which is little or none except for J Cornyn and a few others.
Just scraping the surface.
More to come ...
Ick. About what I would expect.

“Tailgunner Glenn”?
Agreed, this “victory” doesn’t even amount to a skirmish.
First question: Who is the largest employer in your county?.........State?
Country?
Answer: There is only one answer.
Second Question: Is it too late to stop socialism in the U.S.?
Answer: Not until Government size and scope is reduced and private industry and people take more responsibility for each other.
