President Barack Obama’s address to Congress this evening was moving along fairly smoothly until he pledged that there was nothing in the legislation that would provide health care to the millions of illegal immigrants residing in the nation.
A cry of “You lie!” was audible from the Republican side of the aisle. The Associated Press reports that the heckler was South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson.
“It’s not true,” the president responded to the outburst, while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, seated behind the president, offered her mother-of-five glare towards the Republican side of the chamber. First Lady Michelle Obama was seen shaking her head from side to side.
While lawmakers may have become accustomed to that kind of language during the contentious town hall meetings in August, Wilson’s outburst was uncommon for a joint session of Congress, where decorum usually reigns.
A spokesman for Wilson did not immediately return a request for comment.

I noticed the MSM reports on this fails to report that after 0bama said this is a downright lie, and he was called a liar by the GOPer; that a voice clearly shouted THROW HIM OUT.
One lone, small voice boldly speaking the truth can sometimes breach a damn of pent up outrage over a government run a muck. I hope this is it.
I have been trying to get through to express my thanks, but his website has crashed or is being hacked. So I’ll call tomorrow.

It really seemed to distract him and get him off his game. It wasn’t on the teleprompter.
I agree, but..... If he wants to call the President a liar, he should have held a press conference outlining the exact wording (or lack thereof) to show the inclusion of illegals in it.
And his press conference would be roundly ignored.
However, consider this: Joe Wilson calls a press conference to "apologize". And he does, for being "disrespectful".
But, not before quoting the Congressional Research Service, which confirms that Obama did indeed tell a lie.
The media can't ignore that.
Call and write Joe and let him know he has a LOT Of support....

Imho, we’ve been well on the road to becoming (if not already) a fascist state. Funnily enough, I think the internet may be the one great big impediment to that becoming a total reality.
The only problem I had with Wilson yelling “You Lie” is that people who don’t follow this closely might think that was the only lie he told.
