"I'm befuddled. There are few moments in my life where I'm embarrassed to say I'm from Texas, this was one of them," U.S. Trade Representative and former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk said. "I think that some of those that have been the most ungracious and discourteous five years from now will be embarrassed by their behavior. But right now, I guess the best we can do is be embarrassed for them."

What did he think of the investigation that was launched after Bush 41 delivered a speech to kiddies?
Although there was speculation that Kirk would be appointed Secretary of Transportation by President Barack Obama, he was given the position of Trade Representative.[5] As a supporter of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), his selection has drawn criticism from advocates of protectionist trade policies.[6] His nomination ran into further controversy when it was revealed that he owed $9,975 in back taxes.[7] As compensation for speeches he gave from 2004 to the present, he had $37,750 of payments made directly to a scholarship fund at Austin College.[8] Kirk should have included the $37,750 payments with his gross income and then claimed a charitable deduction for the same amount.[8] Kirk also claimed deductions for three years of season tickets to the Dallas Mavericks as qualifying entertainment expenses.[8] In order to claim a qualifying entertainment expense, the Internal Revenue Service requires written documentation of the time, place, business purpose, name, and business relationship of the person being entertained, records that Kirk did not keep for almost half of the basketball games.[8] Kirk’s deductions for tax and accounting fees were also too large.[8]
How did he feel about GHW Bush being investigated after he gave a speech to school kids?... Was that racism?
Shut up Kirk and count your money.
He doesn’t really have to go back to Texas, does he?
#1 - Dunno who Ron Kirk is, despite the information in the article.
#2 - I don’t really give a shit what he thinks.
#3 - I can’t believe he was ever elected in my state.
“I think that some of those that have been the most ungracious and discourteous five years from now will be embarrassed by their behavior.
And those who were vile and abusive during the previous
administration, are they embarrassed today? I think not.
Kirk should do more to educate himself on the radicalism that is the Muslim Messiah and what Zero has done to destroy our country. I’m befuddled that he doesn’t “get it.” Perhaps the people of Texas are embarrassed by his Liberal complacency.
this was the school where NBC tried to hypnotize us that kids are wowed’ by Obeyem:
Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts
yep...another dead-brain lib school.
I'm bettin' there are a goodly number of Texans who are embarrassed he's from Texas too! LOL.
I have never, never read of anyone that was embarrassed to be from Texas!
Sounds like Washington is rubbing off on Ron. He needs to watch who he’s associating with.
He is embarrassed that parents demand to know what is in the curriculum (especially non-vetted curriculum by someone with associations with truthers, racists, and all sorts of vile scum) before it is presented to their children?
Does he not know that Texas Board of Education standards require that all curriculum be reviewed and approved by a board of parents, educators, and school board members before it is used in Texas?
It seems these parents just want to follow the law and know what is being presented to their kids.
Not nearly as embarrassed as we are knowing he is from Texas. I just wish he would really become “from Texas”...a long way “from”.
The majority of us here in the Lone Star State are embarrassed the ambassador is from Texas. Perhaps he should move to a more liberal state...
Pardon me if I don’t give a s#!+ what that fellow thinks.
I'm not from Texas, but I'm sure their feeling is mutual.
