Reminder: 'Root causes' Barack Obama hired '9/11 truther' Van Jones (to get the band back together)

Van Jones' has a law degree so naturally that makes him fully qualified to advise the President of the most prosperous nation on earth on how to green the blocks in question that somehow became un-green. No matter that Van Jones first began learning about environmental pollution somewhere around 2008. If we don't hire Presidents with the necessary knowledge and skills for the job, why should we expect them to do otherwise? No one should be aghast that Obama hired Van Jones. Obama hired like-minded people, the people he likes, and those who will run the offices and agencies they head consistent with Obama's thinking and policies. Van Jones is not just some low-level file clerk or the official dog-walker; President Barack Obama hired him as his communist community organizer. In other words, Obama hired Van Jones to get the band of rebels back together.

The self-described "communist" and revolutionary Van Jones is a liar; he willingly signed a 9/11 'truth' petition:

[Van Jones] is listed with 99 other prominent signatories supporting such an investigation on the 911Truth.org website, including Code Pink co-founders Medea Benjamin and Jodi Evans, comedienne Janeane Garofalo, Democratic Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia and others. He's identified as the executive director for the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights on the statement, which he founded before going to the White House. ... Mike Berger, a spokesman for 911Truth.org, told the Washington Times over the phone that all of the signers had been verified by their group. He said 9/11Truth.org board members “spoke with each person on the list by phone or through email to individually confirm they had added their name to that list.”

Van Jones founded and directed Standing Together to Organize the Revolutionary Movement. What follows is a passage from STORM's Spring 2004 after-action report (Van Jones obviously approved it) after he and his comrades stopped revolting under that name and assumes other, just like terrorist groups often do. They then spawned other like-minded groups or infiltrated the mainstream to subvert our republic from within:

“That night, STORM and the other movement leaders expressed sadness and anger at the deaths of innocent working class people. We were angry, first and foremost, with the U.S. government, whose worldwide aggression had engendered such hate across the globe that working class people were not safe at home. We honored those who had lost their lives in the attack — and those who would surely lose their lives in subsequent U.S. attacks overseas.”

I am not saying Barack Obama is a 9/11 'truther,' as I define them, to wit: 9/11 conspiracy theorists who are ignorant, lying, politically motivated, anti-Semites, or profiteering (the latter I also call grave robbers). What I am saying is Barack Obama and Van Jones agree that 9/11 was all America's own fault; we brought death and destruction down upon ourselves through imperialism.

If you are angry and want to bite my fingers off , calm down and read Barack Obama, in his own words (hat tip to Steve Gilbert at Sweetness & Light who wrote "Obama ... in the current issue of The New Yorker we are treated to his response to 9/11 as published in the September 19th 2001 edition of the Hyde Park Herald):

Even as I hope for some measure of peace and comfort to the bereaved families, I must also hope that we as a nation draw some measure of wisdom from this tragedy. Certain immediate lessons are clear, and we must act upon those lessons decisively. We need to step up security at our airports. We must reexamine the effectiveness of our intelligence networks. And we must be resolute in identifying the perpetrators of these heinous acts and dismantling their organizations of destruction.

We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.

We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe—children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores.

Steve continued, "Here are his comments about the event in the revised for 2004 preface to his autobiographical tome, Dreams From My Father (pg. 2)":

"And then, on September 11, 2001, the world fractured.

"It’s beyond my skill as a writer to capture that day, and the days that would follow-the planes, like specters, vanishing into steel and glass; the slow-motion cascade of the towers crumbling into themselves; the ash-covered figures wandering the streets; the anguish and the fear. Nor do I pretend to understand the stark nihilism that drove the terrorists that day and that drives their brethren still. My powers of empathy, my ability to reach into another’s heart, cannot penetrate the blank stares of those who would murder innocents with abstract, serene satisfaction.

"What I do know is that history returned that day with a vengeance [all emphasis added here mine; that, in fact, as Faulkner reminds us, the past is never dead and buried-it isn’t even past. This collective history, this past, directly touches my own. Not merely because the bombs of Al Qaeda have marked, with an eerie precision, some of the landscapes of my life-the buildings and roads and faces of Nairobi, Bali, Manhattan; not merely because, as a consequence of 9/11, my name is an irresistible target of mocking websites from overzealous Republican operatives. But also because the underlying struggle-between worlds of plenty and worlds of want; between the modern and the ancient; between those who embrace our teeming, colliding, irksome diversity, while still insisting on a set of values that binds us together, and those who would seek, under whatever flag or slogan or sacred text, a certainty and simplification that justifies cruelty toward those not like us-is the struggle set forth, on a miniature scale, in this book.

"I know, I have seen, the desperation and disorder of the powerless: how it twists the lives of children on the streets of Jakarta or Nairobi in much the same way as it does the lives of children on Chicago’s South Side, how narrow the path is for them between humiliation and untrammeled fury, how easily they slip into violence and despair. I know that the response of the powerful to this disorder-alternating as it does between a dull complacency and, when the disorder spills out of its proscribed confines, a steady, unthinking application of force, of longer prison sentences and more sophisticated military hardware-is inadequate to the task. I know that the hardening of lines, the embrace of fundamentalism and tribe, dooms us all."

The key plotters and perpetrators of 9/11 did not come from poverty. Beyond multi-millionaire Osama bin Laden, nearly all the rest were well educated and came from middle and upper class families. Yet America somehow drove them to murder and maim? No. They used the words of their prophet as an excuse, in furtherance of the subjugation of the world, for earthly pleasure and to please their God. Barack Obama is smart and knows all that.

While he did not live a life of desperation, Obama seeks to sow disorder in order to then remake America into something it never was, a nation of individuals all equal in misery and reliant upon the state for their welfare; Obama hired Van Jones because both are dedicated to that cause.

The most immediate common law inspiration of the Declaration of Independence was Blackstone’s 1765 “Commentaries on the Laws of England,” perhaps the most scholarly historical and analytic treatise on “the laws of nature and nature’s God.”

Blackstone wrote, “As man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker’s will. This will of his Maker is called the law of nature. ... This law of nature, being coeval [coexistent] with mankind and dictated by God Himself is, of course, superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times; no human laws are of any validity if contrary to this. ... Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered [permitted] to contradict these.” - Patriot Post, 9/3/09

The clear intent of Obama and his fellow travelers is to replace the law of God with the law of men, specifically him and his followers. This is the intent of the global Communist movement.
The lines has been drawn and they are brilliantly clear. We will have a Constitutional government established under the natural Law of God or we will have a tyranny of zealots forcing their will upon the nation.
Rise up, my friends. This will be our finest hour.

Excellent!
I heard Tom Wolfe say we lost this country when society allowed the Ten Commandment to be removed from the public square in the 1970’s. We’ve been fighting this culture war ever since.

If Obama if smart, he will replace The Van with another America hater, but more dangerous because the replacement is smart enough to keep his mouth shut.
