Levi Johnston, the former boyfriend of Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, has offered to pose naked for Playgirl.
During a behind-the-scenes video for his recent Vanity Fair photoshoot, the 19-year-old self-confessed "redneck" from Wasilla, Alaska, said: "I would do it."
However, it seemed that Levi was unaware that Playgirl has a large gay readership, reports The Telegraph.
While talking about its contents, he said: "I'm guessing it's a dude posing for women."
Rick Andreoli, executive editor of Unzipped Media, said Johnston was a gay icon.
Andreoli said: "The gay community's outpouring of support and adoration for Levi Johnston has been loud and clear since he burst onto the political scene last fall.
"Now, having learned of his desire to bare all for his fans and admirers, we've sent an official offer letter to his manager and eagerly await their response."

A woman I knew bought some gay porn mags for a bachelorette party, as a goof. I leafed through them, and will testify that gay porn and Playgirl are worlds apart. Playgirl is very classy and restrained compared to real gay porn, which is somwhat pedophilic and, ahem, peni-centric.
It kinda traumatized me, and never again will I go into the produce section of a supermarket in San Francisco. Yuck.

Playgirl was known to be a men's magazine because it was formally looked into. Playgirl Mag was a chance for males that were not flamboyant to buy a magazine that offered a fig leaf.
I have a friend that was a career navy man who I suspected of being homosexual from almost our first meeting that bought (and kept purchasing) subscriptions for his wife who was not interested in it at all, he claimed it as a sort of permanent gag gift.
This man-child is truly loco.
We won’t see the last of him. Expect Keith Obie to hire him as a consultant to give insight on whatever Palin does. Whenever Palin makes news, expect a media appearance by Levi to be right behind.
