Note well: He doesnt deny that he signed it. He denies that he agrees with it. Which means, I guess, that hes asking us to create a new standard for public officials by which documents that bear their signature should no longer be used against them.
Imagine the contempt youd need to have for the intelligence of your audience to try a non-defense like this:
In a statement issued Thursday evening Jones said of the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.
He did not explain how his name came to be on the petition.
My work at the Council on Environmental Quality is entirely focused on one goal: building clean energy incentives which create 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and use renewable resources, Jones said in his statement tonight.
Jones also said in his statement that In recent days some in the news media have reported on past statements I made before I joined the administration some of which were made years ago. If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.

Saying I am sorry if you are offended is not the same as saying I am sorry for what I said or did to cause that offense.
Jones issued a typical democrat non-apology apology.

The audacity of these liars to lie in such incredible brazenness is simply shocking. However they lie because they can. They lie because they know that 90% of the media will hide their lies, will defend their lies, will protect them, and will savagely attack anyone who criticizes them.
YES THEY CAN.

Where DOES Obamunist find these wonderful friends?
Does he have ONE friend we all would consider an American patriot?
ONE?
Maybe American patriot is setting the standard too high?
ONE friend who is not a traitor?
ONE?

You may be onto something.
We can now ignore crazy, corrupt, controlling bills
that politicians sign and just do what’s right because
“documents that bear signature of representative should
no longer be used against them”.

Jones says that he first became politically radicalized in the aftermath of the deadly April 1992 Los Angeles riots which erupted shortly after four L.A. police officers who had beaten the infamous Rodney King were exonerated in court. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th," says Jones, who is black, "and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist."
Jones was arrested during the L.A. riots and spent a short time in jail. "I met all these young radical people of color," he recalls, "I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary."
...After the demise of his anti-Prop 21 movement, Jones decided to change his political tactics. Specifically, he toned down the overt hostility and defiant rage that he previously had worn as badges of honor. "Before, we would fight anybody, any time," he said in 2005. "No concession was good enough; we never said 'Thank you.' Now, I put the issues and constituencies first. I'll work with anybody, I'll fight anybody if it will push our issues forward.... I'm willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends."

Obama attended the crazed Rev. Wright's church "to get street cred" in the community he preyed on. What we have here is Jones signing a document "to maintain street cred" with the extreme elements who are part of the conduit bringing him an income from the bowels of the foundations Bernie Madoff was ripping off.
As capable as some of these guys might be, they've ended up putting too much stock in the need "to get and keep street cred" and too little into "learning how to get along with everybody else".
That's why they'll all end up as short timers in their jobs (and have to do malt liquor advertisements as I suggested earlier).
