Dinosaur Soft Tissue Issue Is Here to Stay (evidence for recent dinos growing!)
ICR ^ | September 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Posted on 09/02/2009 8:23:21 PM PDT by GodGunsGuts

In recent decades, soft, squishy tissues have been discovered inside fossilized dinosaur bones. They seem so fresh that it appears as though the bodies were buried only a few thousand years ago.

Since many think of a fossil as having had the original bone material replaced by minerals, the presence of actual bone--let alone pliable blood vessels, red blood cells, and proteins inside the bone--is quite extraordinary. These finds also present a dilemma...

Let’s clone them back into existence and raise them in PeTA non-approved confinement conditions.

I for one would love a bucket of Kentucky Fried T-rex.

Mmmmmm, Sweet tasty Dino meat! That is what the Dino deserve for eating humans when they were around before the great flood.

Forget the term. Seeing the act itself would be one for the books...

I used to believe the universe was billions of years old 9big bang, etc) but the discovery of soft tissues in dinosaur fossils was the catalyst that led me to re-evaluate everything.

Dinos mounting?

That sounds like Andy Rooney and Helen Thomas.

Then you have willingly discarded the opinion of the scientist who did this research and published those findings in favor of the explanation of a few crackpots who did nothing.

If dinosaurs lived a few thousand years ago then these fossils would not have to be de-mineralized, they would be bone, and we would find dinosaur bones in the same strata as lion and tiger bones; or at least lion and tiger fossils in the same strata as dinosaur fossils.

Believe it or not, you are the first FReeper to publicly state that these finds have caused you to reevaluate the evolutionary time-line. Thanks a bunch for your reply.

I’d rather just train them to eat PETA members & Congressmen... solving two problems at once.

Either Allmendream is suffering from short-term memory loss, or he has selective recall. I have already demonstrated that scientists routinely demineralize modern bones to get at the soft tissue, as all bones contain significant amounts of mineral content.

What did it for me was well recognizable dinosaur types in Amerind petroglyphs, e.g.

Amerind oral traditions describe Mishipishu (the "water panther" or stegosaur) as having a sawblade back, red fur, a catlike face, and a "great spiked tail" which he used as a weapon. Louis and Clarke noted that their Indian guides were in mortal terror at the sight of Mishipishu glyphs along the Mississippi river.

“Has anyone googled for pics?”

______________

It’s very dangerous to ask to ask for pictures of old things around here, I’ve noticed. If a picture of Helen Thomas gets posted, well, you should have seen it coming. :)
