Will President Obama "seize power overnight" in a move to consolidate White House control of the U.S. government?
That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh.
"I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said.
His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:
If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
Limbaugh responded, "I don't think they're going to be able to seize it overnight without anybody knowing about it."

Not really. All he needs to do is keep the military confined to barracks, and thats the ball game.

I’m 30+ years out of the US Army but I still wear my dog tags everyday...they remind me of the oath I took to support and defend the CONSTITUTION against all enemies, foreign or domestic. There are a lot of veterans who still feel the same way I do.
Our active service may have ended —our commitment to uphold our oath has not.
Glenn isn’t just pulling this from his ass. He’s looking at the network that Obama has, all his connections from ACORN, the unions, and so on. The far left is well organized and now have key positions in Washington...
Maybe all Obama needs is a major crisis, like on the scale of 9/11 to take further control of this country.
If you were to tell me a few years ago that this country would elected a devout marxist, I would have said you were crazy. Not only do we have a marxist but he has a well oiled machine to back him and plenty of mind numb supporters to back him as well.
Obama can be stopped but it’s going to take the effort of every patriot in this country to stand up and fight. It’s really going to take some real energy, something this country hasn’t seen in a very long time. Attend every town hall meeting, march in Washington, send out flyers, tell neighbors and relatives of what’s really going and most of all be vocal even when the enemy is trying to destroy you.
What the people have been doing so far is great but do they have the capacity for the long fight? I think the left counts on the American people to eventually give up. I pray to God we prove them wrong.
They will never confiscate guns without a civil war and don’t think the military will not stand with the people. You underestimate them. Military officers are sworn to uphold the Constitution, not to obey the president. We may end up with a Honduras scenario.
I don't know if the American people have the capacity for a long fight, I think they do.
But an overnight fight? Hell, overnight they will amass in the millions, a hundred million.
That's why I said 'slow down Glenn, this is crazy talk', referring to the overnight fight.
They might let McCain run, and Guilianni, and Huckabee, and Romney...
But they really don’t want Palin to run again...

I really have a very hard time supporting the GOP at this point. They have proven themselves to be utterly incompetent.
Medical. They get to talk to everyone.

Let’s look at the evidence, shall we?
LA riots. Mobs throwing bricks and bottles. The “armed” cops got into their cars and drove home, never to return.
Columbine. Two high school kids with no military training kept a battalion of cops hiding for hours behind trees, lamp posts and squad cars.
There’s more examples but I won’t waste the space.
Most cops are interested in getting home alive after the shift. They ain’t robocops.
You should also take account of the many excellent sheriffs we have in this country. Mine is a strong 2nd supporter and a constitutionalist. He also has an armed auxiliary deputy force numbering a few thousand.
If you don’t have one, elect one for your county next election. Remember, the best law enforcement for a free people is an elected peace officer.
I think for me the proof will be -how the people will react if the democrats push health care using the nuke option.

I know several state troopers who despise the Kenyan fraud, and would not lift a finger to protect him.
That might be an underestimate on the number of guns.
I was talking to a guy I hired to do some work around the house and he told me he has 300 guns.
That’s just ONE farmer in ONE rural neighborhood!

Of course, setting off a nuke at high altitude would have the most effect. But you can make conventional munitions EMP bombs. You can detonate one near a key network node and fry that node. You could do this in a city and black out a region if you know what you’re doing. It’s certainly not the same as a nuke at high altitude, but it would do plenty of damage. And the threat of having another one would be so great that the government would justify martial law to stop it.
Ever since I saw how easily they were able to cover up TWA 800 I have been a paranoid tin foiler. It has only gotten a lot worse since then.
Progressive-Led Democrats may not be that crazy. I don’t know. But Radical Left in loose alignment with Radical Islamists or narco-regimes or other hard-core enemies might. (There’s certainly little to keep the Iranians or North Koreans from pulling something.) And then at the bottom of the barrell, the people behind Soros who is himself perfectly content to start his fortune selling goods (probably including gold and silver from teeth) stolen from Jews shipped off to the camps. Risk? You bet. Insane and despicable? Yep. When has that ever stopped certain low-lifes in this world? And speaking of communists (the romantic port of call for Obama and his czars), how about the Khmer Rouge butcher shop or the Red Chinese machine gunning unarmed students in Tiananment Square? Or Obama’s “Religion of Peace” buddies using a steak knife to cut off Mr. Pearl’s head for our entertainment on video. Point is: how much are we willing to trust people like that? I was responding to a poster who doubted that anything sufficiently provocative could occur to justify imposition of a total Obamanist crackdown. Frankly, if you lack any decency and if your ideological fanaticism doesn’t keep you from bankrukpting the U.S. economy and encouraging Veterans to resort to Physician Assisted Suicide — it wouldn’t be all that hard.
He’s a clever, ruthless liar. And he’s just the front man for a dark nucleus with the wealth and capacity for evil to keep the world at bay. The stakes are darker and deeper than politics. It won’t last forever. But we are in the thick of it now. Pray to God that the deeds done in darkness come into the Light.
O’Reilly is either intentionally pandering to the middle-of-the-road swing voters both to get big ratings and (maybe this is smart) to draw them over our direction. OR he is himself a fraud and a shill for the Left pretending to be conservative but then putting in some sucker-punches when it’s convenient. I’d hate to think that, but his ego is so HUGE maybe he’d take a dive just to make the money and celebrity he now enjoys. As we heard from the phone recordings when he was trying to slam his female staff member, O’Reilly is no saint.

I have tried to look it up, but keep running into only the top 28 positions and those are filled, except for one.

If it is true, I think it is information that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. He, 0bama, is not running a shadow government of czars in that case. He has created a new government system. But, in order to claim that...we need a better fact check.
