If he wanted to go so bad why didn't he take one of the pills they have ready for all of us..I doubt he was ready he knew where he was going and did not want that..

If he believed all the stuff they taugh him about being forgiven for sin after sin he has now found out it an't so to keep doing the same thing time and again..When Ted got the annulment from his first wife Joan did that make his children bastard children..I wish Joan would sober up and write a book about this old drunk husband of hers...

He said priests pray for the faithful to go in peace and Kennedy did, comforted and consoled by his family.

The faithful?

Cordially,

“It was a total surprise to me to see another world he was involved in — the spiritual world,” said Rev. Patrick Tarrant of Our Lady of Victory Church. “However, we were a bit mistified when he kept saying things like “ouch - that hurts!! “ Hey - you can’t stick that up there!” and “Can somebody turn on the air conditioning - it’s hotter than hades in here..”

"America has never witnessed a more influential and productive legislator," Menino said."

Too bad it was from the perspective of a powerful and wealthy elitist looking down on the masses he has dominion over.

The leaders under socialism NEVER live under the conditions they impose on the pawns they assert their superior enlightenment over.

Barf. Religious man my @. The last thing he wanted was to face his judgement day.

God; Ted: wherst is thy sister Mary Jo Kopechne?
Ted: I am not thy sisters keeper, Lord...

Which Obama twists to claim says: "we are our brothers and sisters keepers" And therefore we must have crappy commie style health care, which he will now add "in memory of Ted, who worked his whole life trying to achieve."

Between bottles.

“The truth is, he had expressed to is family that he did want to go. He did want to go to heaven”
Well teddy boy you were able to buy your way through life but you don’t have the currency needed to get into Heaven.

Here’s to Teddy! I apologize if my irreverence offends but this song by Kevin Fowler is just too appropriate. I will rejoice if Teddy’s faith is real but I am sad that he didn’t live it out better on earth.

Chorus)
The Lord loves the drinkin’ manSends honkey tonk angels to the promise land
I hear that he can turn water to wineAny man that can do that is a good friend of mineI’ve been baptized in beer, I’m here to testifyI was speaking in tongues when I came home last nightSome folks say I’m livin’ in sin, but I know
(chorus)
The Lord loves the drinkin’ man
The Preacher man he told me boy you ain’t no good
The devils gonna getcha, better start actin’ like you
should
All the cold beers and bright lights, stayin’ out all
nightThe good book it tells me boy your soul’s gonna burn
My mamma said son you’re headin’ down the wrong roadThey don’t let honkey tonkers up in heaven I’ve been
told Don’t you worry mamma I’ll see you up in heaven

I’ve been thinking ‘bout it and I’ve come to this
conclusion now,

(chorus)

My daddy says son you’re living your life all wrong
Lighting’s gonna strike you down before too long
That man upstairs he don’t like what you do
When you reach those pearly gates you ain’t getting
throughWell I’ve been thinkin’, I’ve got a brand new plan
I’m gonna start a little church down at the Stumble
Inn
Yea that’s right I’m gonna start my own religion
We’ll be drinkin’ and dancin’ at the church of Hank
Williams yea,

(repeat chorus)

Oh, yea I know
The Lord loves, I hope he does, the Lord loves the
drinkin’ man

"The truth is, he had expressed to is family that he did want to go.

The last words I heard my mother speak were, "I want to go." I knew then she'd seen something irresistable.

Our Lady of Victory, pray for the Kennedy's, living and deceased.

Teddy took a serious turn for the worse in 1969.

I left the Catholic Church decades ago, and this article shows one of the reasons why. TK was a big abortion supporter, a Catholic, and an alcoholic. The Catholic Church opposes abortion, but here we have a Catholic priest gushing with wonderful diddys about Teddy. I fully understand “Love the sinner, but hate the sin.” However, I think the Church would have a lot more credibility - and members - if it took the position that if you support abortion, worship elsewhere until such time as you agree with the sanctity of life. I know all of the biblical parables of how Jesus was so forgiving - but do you remember the story of the fig tree? He cursed it and it never bore fruit again. Wow, Jesus in pissed-off mode! If the Catholic Church had 1) told old Teddy decades ago that he was not welcome until he repented and changed his position on abortion and 2) didn't come out with this bedside puff-piece, I think a lot of people would be better off. Just my ex-Catholic opinion.

"It was a total surprise to me to see another world he was involved in -- the spiritual world," said Rev. Patrick Tarrant of Our Lady of Victory Church.

Tarrant, who was called to Kennedy's bedside late Tuesday as the senator was dying, said it was clear that Kennedy was ready for the journey that awaited him. He described the senator as "a man of quiet prayer" in his last hours.

"The truth is, he had expressed to is family that he did want to go. He did want to go to heaven. He did want to die and he did want to go. He was ready to go. There was a certain amount peace -- a lot of peace, actually -- in the family get-together last night. I couldn't help but think that the world doesn't know that part of the senator at all," Tarrant said in a lilting Irish brogue.

And what about his pro-abortion views and activism? Any regret for that?

I think I’ll vomit. Fat Teddy may have had a deathbed conversion, but I doubt it. This “priest” needs to go out and discover what his own religion is. Hint: It’s not the Democratic Party.

My father told me, not long after we had to put him in a nursing home, that he was ready to go.

He said that he’d lived a good life, but he was tired and ready to be with my mom in heaven.

Three days later they were together.

I still miss them both.
