In NBC’s Special Report cut-in just now as they reviewed the last year of his life the reporter said something about Ted Kennedy “invoking the experience of another first term senator who won the presidency” as he endorsed Obama. I thought whoa, wait a minute. Of course JFK was actually in his second senate term when he ran.

Do surviving spouses of Senators or Congressmen get any pension or benefits?

Well,for one thing she was rafting in Arizona when the plane went down and couldn’t be reached immediately.

I strongly doubt anyone was “left to die.” I don’t believe the crash could have been survived.

If you add the Immigration Act of 1965, his secret correspondence with the Soviets detailing his willingness to undermine the re-election of Ronald Reagan, his coining of the term "Star Wars" to undermine SDI, his lies and character assassination of Robert Bork and the subsequent ushering in of hyperpartisanship to Washington politics, his disgraceful actions during George W Bush's presidency, especially post 9/11, and during the Iraq War... Not to mention his 40-year career in Congress, voting record and legislation bearing his name OR his personal life...

I find it hard to find a Pre-Obama human being that has (singlehandedly) done more damage to the United States than Ted Kennedy.

And I suspect Mr. Kennedy took a cyanide pill at the behest of Barack Obama, as one last "heroic" act "for the cause" to interrupt and take attention away from Glenn Beck's week-long expose of Obama and his commie friends. That's right, I said it!

I met him once- sort of. He could have done a lot of good. Two deaths in a short time is a lot for anyone. Hope his family finds peace.
