Troops challenging the legitimacy of President Barack Obama as commander-in-chief -- including at least one who is fighting deployment -- should take heed: Gunnery Sgt. Hartman wants to know your "major malfunction."

Lee Ermey, the Marine-turned-actor whose role as drill instructor Gunny Hartman in the late Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" has all but placed the Vietnam veteran in the pantheon of Marine heroes alongside "Chesty" Puller, Smedley Butler and Dan Daly, isn't buying anyone's political objector status.
"I haven't heard about those guys," Ermey told Military.com during an Aug. 21 interview. "If I do run across them though, trust me, I'll square them away."

Ermey was medically retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1972. The Commandant bestowed the title of Honorary Gunny upon him as a PR move in May of 2002. That “promotion” carries as much weight as the “promotion” of Gomer Pyle to Lance Corporal by the same Commandant, James Jones, in August of 2001.

Ermey's disability check is based on the pay of a Staff Sergeant, not a Gunnery Sergeant. He's a pretend Gunny.
Correction: On May 17, 2002 he received an honorary promotion to Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) from the Commandant of the Marine Corps

I will respectfully request you do some research into the meaning of Natural Born Citizen, and further research into how a certain occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue does not apparently measure up to that requirement.
Yes, there are many wild-eyed theories out there, but the understanding of the seminal issue can be found, namely that his mom was not old enough to confer Natural Born Citizenship status on him in the US, nor had she been resident in the US the requisite amount of time according to the law of the day to do so.
The only way he can be a Natural Born Citizen is to have been the son of someone other than the fellow who was married to his mother, if you catch my drift.
If so, and it is documented on his birth certificate, well, no harm there. Every family has its occasional woods colt, teepee creeper, whatever, sooner or later. At least those in the chain of command would know the orders he issues would be legitimate and they would not be subject to being tried for anything from War Crimes to being hanged as common criminals for carrying out the orders of a Commander in Chief who was not legitimate (Constitutionally speaking, that is).
As one who has served, you should be well aware of the quandry this places good men in, men who are sufficiently dedicated to their Country to place their lives on the line.
In return, it isn't too damned much to ask that someone produce the pieces of paper which indicate that he is, in fact a legitimate Commander in Chief, Constitutionally qualified for the office. Anything less is harmful to morale, the troops in the field, and yes, your beloved Corps.

The final decision by the 10th Circuit in the Craig case, althoug denying him standing under Article III, makes clear that the 1790 statute, nor, for that matter any other statute, does not define or establish a requirement specifically stated in the Constitution since the Constitution is superior law to a statute.
Mr. Hartman was a marine and a drill instructor. However, he was NEVER an actual Gunnery Sergeant. It is an “honorary” title.
Were I Major Cook and this “citizen” should confront me. I would tell Mr. Hartman to kiss my Oak Leaf Clusters.
Major Cook is no coward. He is completely willing to deploy. He just questions the validity of the person occupying the office of POTUS. A very brave thing to do publically for a commissioned officer.
One can disagree with the tactic, but they shouldn’t disparge MAJ Cook’s character. He acted not out of evasion of duty but concern for country.
That BHO’s father was not an American citizen is an indisputable fact.
What this means in regards to BHO’s own citizenship status is another matter.
IF BHO was born abroad, then there might be an argument.
But he was born in Hawaii. And when a person is born on US soil to an American mother, they are a natural born citizen. Some folks disagree with this assertion, but I do not find their arguments compelling.
That you appear to disregard evidence you do not like, or are simply unaware of it, does not change the reality of the situation.
