Several national advertisers, including some Wisconsin companies, have pulled their commercials from the broadcast of the Glenn Beck Program on the Fox News Channel after Beck called President Barack Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people....
Several advertisers then removed their commercials from the show, including ....
Racine-based S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. [and] Plymouth, Wis.-based Sargento Foods Inc., a privately held company, pulled its ads from Beck's show.
Barbara Gannon, spokeswoman for Sargento, told BizTimes today, "I can confirm that we have instructed our media buyer not to buy any advertising that would appear during the Glenn Beck Show. We market our products to people regardless of their political affiliations, yet we do not want to be associated with hateful speech used by either liberal or conservative television hosts."

I don’t think they sell Sargento at the Whole Food Grocery Store, which is where I shop!

Let's target Sargento Cheese in particular--easy to remember, a not bad product that I used to purchase regularly.
What brand of sandwich-style cheese would make a good replacement?
Also, address of Sargento?

who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people.... Did he really say this? I missed that particular show but I have a hard time believing that Glenn simply said those things without putting them in the context of the overall debate on racism, or comparing them to the race-baiters like Jackson, Sharpton, et al, who play the race card at every opportunity.

Pointing out that the president railed against white cops on national tv and is by extension racist is hardly hate speech.

Hateful speech? OMG, this is getting ridiculous. Beck expressed his views based upon Obama’s actions, words, books and life associations. There is nothing “hateful” here, it is fact.

Ive read that vinegar actually has disinfecting properties & baking soda scrubs, but doesnt scratch. Plus, they are both as cheap as dirt. Whenever you do need a little abrasiveness in the kitchen, use kosher salt. When done, just put it down the drain. It also kills bacteria better than any of the "anti-bacterials" out there, unless of course your using a bleach mixture.

I would like to hear what they consider imflammatory, the specific words they are objecting to.
The exact words. I think it is time to insist that when people make those kinds of statements, they must prove them.
Otherwise they will get away with all these generalizations that play so well in the MSM.
To: SusaninOhio
Glenn Beck called the President a racist.
They are the words.
However, what OBAMA’S “pastor” has said from the pulpit, I suppose, is neither racist nor inflammatory.
And when Obama talks about his OWN grandmother being “a typical white person” neither is that.
It is only when WHITES call racist blacks a “racist” that an act of racism has occurred, according to Gagco.

Any other liberal loving companies I need to avoid?
Yep.
Levi Jeans. They donate heavily to the gun grabbing Brady bunch and have for over a decade. Since I found out back in the early days of the Internet (Prodigy era) its been nothing but Wrangler Jeans for me. Plus Wranglers fit better.
Citi Corp is another big donor to the Brady bunch.
It's a litter harder to boycott them since they bought up most Dept Store credit cards (like Sears) and 'merged' (gobbled up) with other banks.

I always love it when special interest groups use their rights to free speech and expression to demand it be taken from others.

Talk to the manager of your local supermarket. Ask him to remove Sargento products from their shelves because Sargento has supported a racist group’s attack on free speech. Supermarket shelf space is the life blood of retail food sales and there are many products begging for every inch of space. Get them pulled from a few stores and it will get their attention.
