Several national advertisers, including some Wisconsin companies, have pulled their commercials from the broadcast of the Glenn Beck Program on the Fox News Channel after Beck called President Barack Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people....
Several advertisers then removed their commercials from the show, including ....
Racine-based S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. [and] Plymouth, Wis.-based Sargento Foods Inc., a privately held company, pulled its ads from Beck's show.
Barbara Gannon, spokeswoman for Sargento, told BizTimes today, "I can confirm that we have instructed our media buyer not to buy any advertising that would appear during the Glenn Beck Show. We market our products to people regardless of their political affiliations, yet we do not want to be associated with hateful speech used by either liberal or conservative television hosts."

Also, Progressive, GEICO, Lawyers.com. Proctor and Gamble, Lenscrafters.
Is there an ongoing list for these? If not, please start an on-line list here that we can refer to when we want to avoid these brain-dead companies and their doomed products. Thank you

Subject: Principled approach to Glenn Beck comments
Ms. Gannon,
Thank you for your desire to denounce Sargento's support of "hateful speech used by either liberal or conservative... hosts." It is refreshing to see a company stand for even handed principles. To that end, I am wondering if you will support a full boycott of advertising and of marekting / advertising spend for various programs on NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN who routinely have very liberal "television hosts" who attack ordinary Americans who protest taxation, or who attack conservative principles. How about boycotting those television hosts who attacked Miss California over her courageous decision to stand for her principles as well. After all, your comment was:
"We market our products to people regardless of their political affiliations, yet we do not want to be associated with hateful speech used by either liberal or conservative television hosts."
I'm encouraged by a genuinely even-handed, principled, fair-minded decision on advertising spend rather than one based on political agenda. To that end I look forward to your response and will be posting this message on Free Republic and other sites who I am certain will anxiously await your response. If you would like I have no doubt that there are many who can provide specific "liberal... television hosts" and their "hateful speech" that is "politically affiliated" including the network, program, and time slot if yours is a genuinely principled interest.
Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to your response.

P.S. My family has been loyal cheese loving Sargento brand purchasers for years. However, we will be temporarily switching brands until we understand how strong your principles are about being even handed with "liberal... television hosts" and their "hateful speech".

I’ll have to remember that is is now considered hate speech to say you think somebody is a racist. Hopefully somebody will send the memo to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et al.

I’ve often thought of boycotting programs that have insipid and insulting advertising sponsors. I guess it can go both ways.

“Hateful speech”???
I sent them a piece of my mind. Beck is not hateful. Especially in comparison to others. Interesting they choose this time to exercise a boycott against hate speech after hearing it nonstop over the last 8 years.
We’ll see how they like being boycotted.

Find a good janitorial supply house in your area, you will be much happier. I know you buy a gallon instead of a quart but its worth it and the product is better. BUT, does the offending company supply to that janitorial outlet? It's much more difficult to determine manufacturers on generic products.

I guess we can all just go with baking soda and vinegar. That's what I clean with & I can tell you those products do just as good a job as the pricier & chemical-laden products that SC Johnson & Johnson make. Baking soda & vinegar are natural & effective.

Kohl’s sells crap anyway. And their customer service is way below par. Why would anyone want to shop there?

Yeah I am making a list of people to boycott to. So in addition to Geiko, fruit of the Loom and Home Depot, SC Johnson & Sargento just got added to my shit list.
Any other liberal loving companies I need to avoid?

How is calling someone a “racist” considered “racist?”
The guy spent 20 years listening to anti-White vitriol.

Most products are not generic, just private labled for that supply house....call them and ask, they will, if reputable let you know.
Ask for Misco or Core products, in fact core even makes a lot of "green" products.

I wasn’t diss-ing baking soda and vinegar at all. Yeah, you won’t find a better toilet cleaner. And with a septic system, I have to be careful not to “kill” it.

Went to the store to buy cheese for taquitos this morning. Usually I buy Sargento, but today I bought the generic brand. They will never get another penny of my money.
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Sargento can stuff their cheese up their noses for all I care. I won’t buy it.
Can someone please tell me why when a white man says a black man (who shows every evidence of it) is racist, there is all this hoopla—and when a black man, like, let’s say, a black professor, FALSELY calls a white man, like, let’s say, a policeman, a racist, everyone in the media and liberal la-la-land nodes their heads and agrees?

By the way, I like your tagline! It's from a real news story a couple of days ago at a Portsmonth town-hall meeting. The guy who was "carrying" openly was displaying this slogan and got lambasted for it, by guess who...?

Yeah, I quit using the chemical cleaners after I almost asphyxiated myself spraying cleaner in my small bathroom. I had to go outside for fresh air. I got rid of all of them & have saved a lot of money in the process. I’ve read that vinegar actually has disinfecting properties & baking soda scrubs, but doesn’t scratch. Plus, they are both as cheap as dirt.
