My local post office either has non-English speakers or a version of Obama’s nasty wife. I loathe using the post office because the workers are so nasty.

Anyone want to tell me what the government does well?

We have to give credit where credit is due. The government does keep the best military on the planet in fine working order, despite itself. It's not cheap, but it is at least effective. That post office thing was a raging success for a long time. You still can send letters in the mail and they get to where they are supposed to.

That's all I can think of. I'm sure there must be more. These things were invented by our founding fathers.
