Question? What would prevent a crazy nut from getting close enough to this man and be able to grab the gun out of the holster and start shooting? Are guns secured in a holster some way?

No doubt a Secret Service sniper was poised to bust a cap into his head if he’d reached for the gun while the President was in the area.

Bet, if it were your typical liberal, ‘progressive’ standing there, MSNBC would completely ignore ignore it. I can’t see why GE bothers with crappy network.

Knowing the people I know here in New Hampshire, and their political proclivities, I'm surprised that MSNBC only saw ONE person carrying a sidearm. In the circles I'm in, it's not uncommon to see half a dozen young women carrying sidearms at larger events. I suspect the MSNBC people just weren't looking hard enough.
There is no recital of the necessity of a well-regulated militia, as there is in the corresponding clause in the Conmstitution of the United States. The arms which every person is secured the right to keep and bear (in the defense of himself or the State, subject to legislative regulation), must be such arms as are commonly kept, according to the customs of the people, and are appropriate for open and manly use in self-defense, as well as such as are proper for the defense of the State. - Texas Supreme Court in State v. Duke, 42 Tx. 455.

if someone is threatening to initiate the use of force against you, then the lawful appearance of a gun is a symbol of the the fact that one is justified in the use of forceful self defense against the initiation of force.

He has the right to carry a gun, but I don’t think his gun and the sentiments on the sign do much good.

Nope,sorry...can't agree with this at all.I'm as strongly pro-2nd Amendment as anyone you'll meet but I don't agree with anyone but police, military and Secret Service being armed while in the vicinity of the President....even one as loathsome and despicable as Hussein.

Some folks don't seem to understand that it doesn't matter how you dress, what you say, or what you carry. There is no compromise with the left. They want to take your guns, stifle your speech and steal your income. No amount of nicey-nice, marketing or compromise is going to get the state-run media to portray you in a favorable light.
Running away and hiding instead of demonstrating that in some parts of the country guns are a way of life is why we keep losing.
