Unlikely. Otherwise an assassin could distract the Secret Service by having a few openly armed people wandering around while the assassin stays concealed. They'll just make sure he stays out of the restricted perimeter.

The US Gubmint doesn't do much right, but they have got the common defense part of the Constitution down pretty well. I don't know how the Secret Service does it, nor do I or you need to know how they do it, but God Damn they do an unbelievable job.

President Bush stood out there in the middle of nowhere giving campaign speeches in short sleeves in 2004 during his re-election and despite millions of angry jihadists, not a hair on his head was ever even threatened.

God bless the Secret Service. Much better trained than rank and file suburban cops who would throw grandma against her car hood because she mouthed off.
