This is no time for jokes or trivial banter. The stakes are getting higher by the nanosecond. As tensions are inflamed at health care town hall meetings across the country, a dangerous trend of Hitler comparisons, Stalin comparisons, and all-around dictator comparisons to President Barack Obama is taking shape. The most probing question at this juncture might be uncomfortable to some, but it must be asked: Do conservative, hard-right demagogues, whose hatred for President Obama has hardly ever been subdued, secretly hope for--and are hard at work toward--the assassination of the nation's first Black president.
The sheer thought that a faction of the country's political bloc holds such views might unnerve certain readers, but fear of the probable demands that we face up to the consequences before it's too late.
A couple of days ago, violence broke out at a Tampa, Florida, health care summit at which U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor was speaking. Mob groups, contracted by right-wing organizations, loudly interrupted the Congresswoman as she spoke, causing a scene so volatile that it soon turned violent.
For those who had been following the recent outbursts of verbal chaos at countless Congressional health care-centered town hall meetings, the Tampa incident was but the inevitable culmination of a brewing hostility that had begun bubbling as early as last weekend, when Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, was heckled and berated by reform opponents at a Pennsylvania town hall meeting where she was also joined by Philadelphia Democratic Senator, Arlen Specter.

No. Absolutely not. Would be horrible for this nation and for race relations and conspiracy theories and political mythmakers. Just look at how many “great initiatives” have been placed on the myths of the unserved JFK and RFK presidencies.
They would have ended the war, negotiated world peace, ended world hunger, ended poverty, etc etc.
Resigning from office inneffective in advancing his liberal agenda and thoroughly discredited would be ok.
The media was not critical of the film and book and other “dramatizations” that depicted the fictional assassination of GW Bush.
Randi Rhodes made several on air appeals for the murder of President Bush on Air America.
Such talk is always repugnant, no matter who is in the office.
The media chuckled when a comedian “newscaster” ran a graphic “Snipers wanted” over a picture of Bush (in the 2004 election?).
No doubt if some extreme Marxist/leftist took out Hussein, he would be portrayed as a neo-conservative/right-wing nut/republican/christian activist etc, despite the facts of the assassin’s politics.
“No. But dragged out of office by his Marxist ears and tossed in the slammer for fraud would suffice.” Amen!
My view is that the over reach and phony words by the One is making the Leftist/Marxist reveal their true hate and evil controlling psychology...and we common folk don’t like it one dang bit!
O is more white than black, and more Marxist than Saul Alinsky...the dims leadership is failing along with all their dreams! We must not be silenced!

If Obama is Hitler/Stalin, he has nothing to worry about. Neither fell to an assassin.
Funny thing, not one conservative I know has wished for this outcome in public or private.
I worry more about the person who wrote this piece. Obviously this kind of thing is on his mind.
Which is utterly ironic; because, by today's standards, JFK would be the most traditionally-conservative leader in Washington today!
The left is the guy who has cheated on his wife, comes home and finds the toilet seat up and accuses his wife of having an affair. The media neglected to cover the so called peace protesters signs calling for the death and torture of President Bush.
I still think that’s why no one took a pop at Bush, they hated Cheney that much!

I haven’t heard any conservatives mention this; however, give Biden a little time. It sounds like something he’d gaff up.
