Mother outraged by naked bicycle protest (Seattle of course)

SEATTLE -- An Everett mother says she's outraged over a weekend protest full of naked cyclists.

The group was riding along the Seattle waterfront Friday night wearing nothing but smiles to expose some of the dangers they face.

But not everyone was smiling.

"I looked and there were naked men with their genitals hanging out," said Marcy Hayes, who was there with her 6-year-old daughter Ashland. "I'm yelling at my daughter to look away."

Hayes says she and her daughter walked out of the Seattle Aquarium and right into the path of a pack of cyclists and all their nakedness.

"I just can't believe this is allowed," she said. "I don't understand what law would say it is OK."

When it comes to naked cyclists, Seattle police have a high tolerance. They said it's not illegal to be naked in public unless you provoke or offend someone.

So what if people are naked. with 1/3 of Americans overweight,

Actually I believe the latest numbers show that 6% were morbidly obeses, 34% of Americans were obese and 32.7% were overweight

That means that 72.7% of Americans were overweight or obese or worse!!

"I was thinking of a paintball or BB gun".

How about a wrist-rocket and lug nuts?

People often look much better with their clothes on.

As an artist, I must cheer for the exceptions.

"but can you open carry? I bet some lefty would “feel threatened” and it would be a one way trip to jail."

That is exactly what I was told by an officer when I lived in Everett.

guten tag mein Herr, 2cc must either have not travelled much (or read much) or he would have a different usage of the term “liberal”. I remember in Hamburg there was this public park where, during summer folks would strip and bask in the sun and nobody would even bat an eyelash. Of course, the problem was that the folks who DID strip were mostly old, fat and wrinkled so perhaps it was better for all concerned to look the other way :-P

Folks that are OK with these nudist types riding through town are every bit the lowlifes as the nudist scum.

And the people who go around nude, are always the exact people you do not want to see nude.

And yes, I did vote for him.

It's sad that you think so little of that precious privilege as to throw it away.

TChad,

The Take A Look mirror is the best I’ve come across.

It clips to your sunglasses and remains extremely stable. I think you could actually read license plates of oncoming cars if you so desired.

I think what you really mean is that Einigkeit_Recht_Freiheit has become upset with FR and the United States and now posts mainly to vent his frustrations. Isn't the issue really that you're on the wrong forum?

LOL!! You have to laugh at the naivete of Europeans. They think a huge, multicultural country of 300M should be run like one of their quaint little regions so many of our ancestors fled.

Do naked cyclists wear helmets? I guess they have to for safety reasons.

You'd think they'd be wearing sports cups for the same reasons. Obviously, safety was not the real issue.

Those were the days! Remember washing your wool ProTogs shorts and waiting forever for the real leather chamois to dry?
Your post brought back some funny memories from back in the day. Good stuff!

Don't speak before you know the facts. I voted for him too, and I wasn't throwing anything away.

Leslie is a highly intelligent man with some very good ideas. He also lives a rather different lifestyle, but to each his own, so long as you're not violating the rights of others.
