I just zoomed it in to 400 and you are absolutely correct. The folds are a background image to the text. There is nothing to indicate that the fold goes through the lettering.

the n in and—Signature, Description and Residence of the Informant; the e in use further down; the m in Simon and the w in Hawaii. Also if you look carefully at some of the other letters that are on folds at the top and bottom of the page,they seem to follow the lift and descent of the fold.
Yup. The aussie doc is fake. The Kenyan ones may be too, but they are better fakes.
