I just zoomed it in to 400 and you are absolutely correct. The folds are a background image to the text. There is nothing to indicate that the fold goes through the lettering. I tried the same with the top Kenya form and found these letters seem to be affected by the folds:
the n in and—Signature, Description and Residence of the Informant; the e in use further down; the m in Simon and the w in Hawaii. Also if you look carefully at some of the other letters that are on folds at the top and bottom of the page, they seem to follow the lift and descent of the fold.
Yeah. I noticed that too.
The Kenyan document definitely shows distortion at the folds.
The Bomford one doesn’t.
If I were to guess which one was the ‘original’ and which one was the ‘fake’, I would guess the Kenyan was the ‘original’ and the Bomford was the ‘fake’.
But I need more information to be sure.
Or at least someone to verify that the Bomford BC isn’t what it claims to be.
