Birthers Proven Right: Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate Found
examiner.com ^ | August 3, 2009 | Geoff Linsley

For about a year now there has been a great deal of debate about whether or not President Barack Obama is truly a natural born American citizen. According to the Constitution, Article 2, Sec. 1, “No person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the office of president.” The Obama campaign and administration have always claimed that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. A Certificate of Live Birth was presented by the Obama campaign showing that Obama is an American citizen[1]; however, Hawaiian law didn’t require Obama to actually have been born in Hawaii in order to obtain this registration.[2] This, among other things, has created a public outcry – from a group now referred to as “birthers” – for Obama to show his long form birth certificate, which would disclose information such as which hospital he was born in, who delivered him, etc. that would solidify the fact that he actually was born in America. The Obama campaign and administration have failed to present this document to anyone. Instead, they have been suppressing the issue using two tactics: hiring lawyers to defend him against the legal dilemma – such as lawyer Perkins Coie, who was paid $688,316[3] – and creating the ignorant propaganda, repeated by many liberals, that anyone who questions Obama’s eligibility is weird, crazy or racist. The liberal mainstream media has propagated the latter tactic through news broadcasts, such as Nightly News with Brian Williams, which incorrectly assert that Obama has proven his eligibility.[4]

I’ve lost count on how many “real” BCs have been out there.

You must mean those posted at DU? Other than the frauds the Left has tried to pass off as legit; don't think there have been others that have generated any indiscriminate attention; though I could have missed something. . .

Grow up and focus on real issues not internet photos.

Sonic are you so busy telling people to sit down and shutup that you missed that this document, not a picture, has been submitted to a court for authentication? After having been looked at by an expert first.

No, you are NOT “sharing” your opinion. You’re trying to enforce it on the rest of us when you tell us we have to “drop” this topic. I’m not dropping it because you say so. I’ll drop it when it’s proven moot. Meanwhile, I guess you’ll have to just get over it.

We need to storm DC and kick in some doors.

Good luck with that. Let us know how that works out.

For someone who is not interested in the eligibility issue, you manage to post on these threads continuously. Apparently you have some form of interest.

Almost looks like an agenda, doesn’t it? Well, I’ll agree that we shouldn’t be crowing over this document until it can be authenticated by more than one source—reliably. But I do resent being told what I can and cannot talk about. Now I’m more interested than ever.

I resent your implication.

What implication? I asked a straight, clear, to the point quesion and your answer is clear:

You do not support the quest for truth on this issue and are intent on talking as many people out of it as possible.

Just be honest, ok?

Then if you don't have anything of value to add to the discussion then perhaps you should stay off these threads.

I’ll go to DC and attempt to do something . You can sit here believing that someone is going to find a piece of paper that will prove Obama is not eligible to be president and he will be removed from office and our troubles are over.
RIGHT

It’s really amusing, you know, all these `concerned cons’ who thunder on-and-on that this (constitutional) question isn’t worth spending time on, it’s a tremendous waste of time and makes us look silly and it’s a dam disgrace and our spines will curve and we’re all going to grow hair on our palms and ...

Then they haunt the thread for hours at a time, surfing one Article II thread to the next.

A man was fishing on a dock and a young teenager sat down about five feet away from him.
The morning turns into the PM, the hours go by, then the sun starts to set and the boy is still there.

The man pulls up his stringer and asks, “Do you fish?”
The boy replies, “Nope.”
“Next time you should bring your pole. You sure have the patience to be a fisherman!”

The boy considers this and replies, “Yeah, but who’s got the time?”

I’m saying you are really making us look like fools and being a useful tool for the left. Age old Marxist tactic , create a false issue , feed those excited about it , then use it to discredit them.
DISTRACTION

I have no opinion on the doc. I’ll wait for authentication. But it does no good for you to tell others to drop it. The only thing it does is guarantee you’ll never win a popularity contest.

It’s forceful, it’s persuasive, and it’s articulate,

It's bossy, it's controlling, it's rude, it's condescending.........

I think the real “fool” is the one who is willing to let the Left set the agenda and goes along with it rather than face possible criticism. It’s kind of what the RINOs have been doing for a number of years. Maybe these people here are showing something called “courage” in investigating this issue. Maybe folks pounding the desk with their shoes are showing just the opposite.

"I'll tell you what will happen: NOTHING! This issue will go nowhere in this Congress nor will any legal challenge be heard by the soon-to-be Sotomayor-added Supreme Court. Therefore it is and will remain a dead horse...so why keep beating it?"

Actually, even if he is not ousted by legal means, a proof of his lack of veracity will preclude any chance of re-election. Same as if any single state passes a requirement that proof of "natural born citizenship" be provided on registering to run.

This is a message board where people share opinions. I’m sharing mine. It’s forceful, it’s persuasive, and it’s articulate, and I know people don’t like that when they disagree. I’m would definitely love to hop off this train, which is currently barrelling toward a stone wall, but I’d much rather redirect the train to get to where we want to go. Hopping off just leaves me alone, in the middle of nowhere, while the rest of the people who agree with me on other, more important issues, continue on to destruction.
We are not going to luck into the presidency, folks. We need ideas, solutions, and clear, positive viewpoints. The “birth certificate” is not one of them.

Indeed! But you won't convince the kooks around here who persist on beathing this dead horse!

"Get some ideas, and get off this birth certificate train. The only end is self-immolation."

"Self-immolation". My, that phrase sounds familiar. It seems like all those who are ranting against a legitimate search for truth are using it.

No, it isn't, no you're not. Depsite your best efforts, more people are showing interest and open mindedness in this issue than even 30 days ago.

Why is it so hard for you to let those who want to pursue this issue do so without your distraction? I'll bet you were embarrassed by the Impeachment movement, too, weren't you?

Let me drill this further in everyone’s brain : THEY NEED THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO AUTHENTICATE THIS ONE. This document is NOTHING, as it can’t be proved to be authentic without the original, which everyone has been looking for months.

Obama’s lawyers will know that. Why would they? Because Taitz’s legal request itself says so.

Taitz doesn’t have the original, Kenya does, if it exists. Taitz is in an American court, asking for them to force the Kenya government to do something. How would you feel if a Kenyan court was asking us to produce an American BC?

No, Taitz probably didn’t think of loose ends, the biggest one being that the Kenyan won’t just agree to show the original to someone just because claim that they have a copy. Especially when the Kenyan in this story is a national hero for them.

Free Republic should be careful when using the word “prove”, especially linking to an article that clearly spell that this isn’t anywhere near being a proof or authenticated.

You should be able to see a copy of the Kenyan BC at WND.

Let them go. It is an unfortunate distraction but it is still a carnival sideshow. There are tens of thousands of us that are working every day to put the train back on track and, frankly, this keeps the goobers out of our hair. We have open field running while they chase Will-o'-the-wisps.

Worlds are colliding and the future of the country is at stake. We don't really need a bunch of welterweights gumming up the works. I wouldn't trust them with the future of the Republic any more than I would the Democrats. We need men who are up to the titanic challenges that are real.
