Wis. jury: Father guilty in prayer death case

WAUSAU, Wis. – A central Wisconsin man accused of killing his 11-year-old daughter by praying instead of seeking medical care was found guilty Saturday of second-degree reckless homicide.

Dale Neumann, 47, was convicted in the March 23, 2008, death of his daughter, Madeline, from undiagnosed diabetes. Prosecutors contended he should have rushed the girl to a hospital because she couldn't walk, talk, eat or drink. Instead, Madeline died on the floor of the family's rural Weston home as people surrounded her and prayed. Someone called 911 when she stopped breathing.

(snip)

Neumann, who once studied to be a Pentecostal minister, testified Thursday that he believed God would heal his daughter and he never expected her to die. God promises in the Bible to heal, he said.

"If I go to the doctor, I am putting the doctor before God," Neumann testified. "I am not believing what he said he would do."

Under Obamacare the only difference is that there will be no praying.

Many health care plans now have a nurse helpline, for situations where the subscriber is not sure whether an illness can be treated at home. I’ve used that for advice a couple of times and saved visits to the doctor or hospital for illnesses.

One constructive way the health care system could be improved in America would be to establish more intermediate level urgent care centers, for illnesses (like this girl’s) that could be addressed by a nurse practitioner but don’t really need a full blown emergency room.

I gather you somehow missed the sense of my wording that I essentially agree with you . . .

though I also believe that God does miracles a lot more than most people realize even in this era.

Often even in the USA.

Nor are the bunch of Holy Rollers I know likely to just roll over and play dead in the face of such arrogant, lop-sided, narrowly biased, rigid, myopic, prissy, hostility.

Alas, can’t ban our “enemies” from our threads here.

Why does this “holy roller” bug you so? Not all Christians holy roll, I don’t, but I try to understand those who do. I might miss something if I don’t at least listen.

Evidently because, at least in part, because my construction on UFO related realities does not

match nor equal his nor submit to his.

So, he slavishly is compelled to be hostile to mine.

Very mature that.

This girl’s blood sugar could have been tested at home for a few cents

Unfortunately, they didn't know she had diabetes. They should have seeked medical help. Doing so, doesn't mean one doesn't have faith on God's promises. They give so little info - not enough to make a determination other than what they want us to know.

Uh, maybe I am stepping in some mud here, but I suspect a number of “extraterrestrial” or “UFO” visits, when they aren’t weather balloons, are manifestations of devils.

Actually, I don’t know that many do much rolling around nor writhing though it does occur on occasion and has even been somewhat experienced by me in some respects.

Most folks find it strange and unfathomable because they have never even bothered to be that concerned about God—much less in anguish before Him over their sins or that desperately wanting MORE OF HIM or that desperately NEEDING HIS TOUCH etc.

So, in their ignorance and haughtiness, they find it easy to mock and be derisive.

I doubt God’s that pleased with such an attitude.

Fallen Angels, nephilium etc.

Regardless—even IF they are citizens of distant planets—THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN CAHOOTS WITH THE GLOBALIST OLIGARCHY TOWARD SETTING UP MORE OVERTLY THE SATANIC GLOBAL GOVERNMENT.

That’s all one needs to know. Those on satan’s side are

NOT GOOD CRITTERS REGARDLESS OF THEIR LABEL, planet or dimension of origin.

If folks are so terminally uninformed as to miss that fact, it will be their loss and a serious loss, indeed, if they fail to wake-up to the seriousness of such realities.

Ah well, This watchman has done what I could to cry the alarm.

He calls on all humans to walk in as much intimacy with Him as they can increasingly manage.

You sound uninformed on the issue.

Well yes, if Satan be divided against Satan, how can his kingdom stand? Of course devils cooperate. Not perfectly, of course. A battle is going on. God will never allow His kingdom to be overwhelmed.

I doubt God is pleased with people who think they know him so well.

Nothing more pleases God than those who want to know Him more and more each day. He created us for fellowship with Him and He makes Himself knowable to those that seek after Him!

The Bible says that’s just what God wants — for people to know Him better rather than worse. Much of what Quix is asserting is generally acknowledged as true across Bible believing Christendom. It can be seen in serious Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and evangelical teaching.
