Beck just showed an eyefill. The Government's Cash for Clunkers Website requires user to click on "accept" for a disclaimer. What a disclaimer! If you click "ok" it says in fine print that your computer is now considered the property of the Federal Government, including all content on your computer, and gives access to both the US and foreign governments. I am not making this up. Beck's computer froze because of heavy website use.
“This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S.Government.Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS,Dot,and law enforcement personel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies both domestic and foreign.”
Video of the segment is available here: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/07/31/glenn_beck_exposes_carsgov_privacy_agreement_that_taps_into_users_pc.html
I saw part of glenn’s story on this. hard to believe but glenn usually has his facts straight before firing away.
Even if one signs up for email updates there is nothing suspicious.
It may not come up unless you are filing an application, but be careful, as once you hit wrong button your computer belongs to gov’t. Glenn showed it on his show, so go to his website and ask the questions or look at it.
Ya know folks, people frogmarched Nixon out of office for piddley assed Watergate.
Why is Barack Obama and the government in place now with no one marching their traitor asses out of DC?
We get what we deserve if we allow this to happen.
I am about sick of it.
Smart move, both guests on the show said they would not even click onto the site.
Thanks Quig.
This isn’t my POST, but I saw it on Glenn Beck show too,...so go to his website for your questions or comments. This is not my POST Article.
thanks. this link will be going out now to everyone in my address book. good God.
Is it a Motie site?

Cash for Clunkers Scams The federal government recently signed into law the Car Allowance Rebate System(CARS), commonly known as Cash for Clunkers. This is a government program that helps consumers purchase new, more fuel efficient vehicles when they trade in a less fuel efficient, gas guzzling vehicles.
Bogus so-called Cash for Clunkers websites have popped up all over the Internet, asking consumers to provide personal information, including names, addresses and social security numbers, so they can register for or enroll in the program.
Other sites tell car shoppers they will put them in touch with authorized Cash for Clunkers dealers in their area.
These websites are all scams. The only valid CARS website is http://www.cars.gov.

Sorry but my computer already belongs to bill gates...
That was what Beck had on the TV because his computer had locked up. I just used the pause button on the tv.
Correction: now that I’ve seen the online reply of the show, the user has to be a logged in dealer before they get that disclaimer. I don’t think you can view it without signing on as a program participant.
To bad this had to happen on a Friday. Beck will have more on it but won’t be able to air it until Monday.
