Chuck Todd and company at NBC News are outraged that conservative talker Beck won't --or can't-- be fired for calling President Obama a "racist." They blogged as follows:
*** On the Glenn Becks and Howard Beales: The White House doesn't want to give Glenn Beck a bigger platform or extra oxygen -- especially regarding his remark yesterday that the president has "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture" -- so they won't comment, even off record. Beck, after all, is a radio DJ who somehow ended up getting a national platform to give his opinion on politics. What's most amazing about this episode is that what Beck said isn't a fireable or even a SUSPENDABLE offense by his bosses. There was a time when outrageous rants like this would actually cost the ranters their jobs. But not anymore; if anything, it's now encouraged. And all of this could turn ACTUAL journalists into the next Howard Beales. It's getting nuts that the folks who are creating the perception of an ideological/polarized media world are people who have never really spent their lives being journalists. Whether it's former political consultants-turned-TV execs or former radio DJs, or former California socialites, the folks helping to accelerate the public's perception of the media off a cliff made their livings trying to do other things. Of course, Beck's crazy language could have one unintended consequence: It could cost him bookings with any Republicans who want to be popular outside Beck's hard-core bizarro-land viewers.
So much for the national discussion on race relations that leftists and journalists say America desperately needs.

yesterday I sat with a woman whose been a client of mine for 20 years...a black woman from Jamaica....she always knew I was a supporter of GWB, even though we never talked politics (she would see my bumper stickers)...she jokingly said to me last night, out of nowhere, “hey, my President sounded like George Bush last week.”...
I thought, uh-oh, here we go....to my surprise she went off on how appalled she is at dear leader; his stupidity, his intolerance, his lies...
I asked her, were you upset at what he had to say or how he said it?? her answer- BOTH....she said even if he knew all the facts he should’ve kept his mouth shut...
I asked her if she thought zero has issues with race...her response, “I always knew his wife did, now I know that he does”....she went on to tell me how much she hates zero’s wife...she also told me after reading his first book it is her belief zero is muslim...
She’s appalled that the new health plan being passed around will pay for people’s abortions...the conversation ended when she said she wished she had voted for McCain and that zero won’t be re-elected...
on a side note, I’ve put some very “engaging” bumper stickers on my car recently;
“A VILLAGE IN KENYA IS MISSING ITS’ IDIOT” &
“HEY ZERO- STOP BLAMING AMERICA” &
“THE CRISIS WILL BE USED TO STEAL YOUR MONEY AND YOUR LIBERTY”....
I live in westchester, NY, two miles from the clinton’s...it’s libersville around here and at least one of every four cars HAD an obama bumper sticker on last year and the start of this year....I looked forward to letting zero’s disciples read my bumper...problem is I can literally find NO ONE around with an obama bumper sticker anymore....where I used to see dozens on the road daily yet the past two months I may see one or two every three days...
Beck is the only sane person on that channel.

The Dems are terrified, and with good reason. Obama has done what we have been completely unable as Conservatives to do: he has destroyed the race industry. Thanks to the transparency of this hateful man’s racism, this issue no longer belongs to the Left and it is scaring the hell out of them...

I think Greta supports the nationalized healthcare bill. She doesn’t allow her guests to say anything negative about it or explain what’s in it. She wants focus on, “I just ask that they read it.”
Anyway, it made me quit watching her. I had been watching because she had been giving Palin fair coverage.

If anybody had had sense enough to read Obama’s books, they’d know he is a racist and a Muslim.
But no! We were all too excited about getting a black into the White House. No matter that he had a blank resume, locked up his personal records and had a long list of Communist/Muslim associates.
Putting Obama into the White House because of the color of his skin is the most racist act ever committed in the U.S.
Can you just imagine a white candidate having similiar comments out in a book? He would have been crucified!
