Chuck Todd and company at NBC News are outraged that conservative talker Beck won't --or can't-- be fired for calling President Obama a "racist." They blogged as follows:
*** On the Glenn Becks and Howard Beales: The White House doesn't want to give Glenn Beck a bigger platform or extra oxygen -- especially regarding his remark yesterday that the president has "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture" -- so they won't comment, even off record. Beck, after all, is a radio DJ who somehow ended up getting a national platform to give his opinion on politics. What's most amazing about this episode is that what Beck said isn't a fireable or even a SUSPENDABLE offense by his bosses. There was a time when outrageous rants like this would actually cost the ranters their jobs. But not anymore; if anything, it's now encouraged. And all of this could turn ACTUAL journalists into the next Howard Beales. It's getting nuts that the folks who are creating the perception of an ideological/polarized media world are people who have never really spent their lives being journalists. Whether it's former political consultants-turned-TV execs or former radio DJs, or former California socialites, the folks helping to accelerate the public's perception of the media off a cliff made their livings trying to do other things. Of course, Beck's crazy language could have one unintended consequence: It could cost him bookings with any Republicans who want to be popular outside Beck's hard-core bizarro-land viewers.
So much for the national discussion on race relations that leftists and journalists say America desperately needs.

There was indeed racial profiling in this matter - by Gates and Obama.

Obama is a racist. He feels a resentment against and entrie group of people rather than regarding them as individuals. He has admitted so.

Others are referring to Obama as a “racist opportunist” and doing it with stunning impact. That alpa female meanie, Michelle Malkin, says it just about as well as it can be said, while whipping up on Matt Lauer like a red-headed stepchild.

If you really want to see the Marxist Media Magnates collective heads explode have Beck and Palin start co-hosting on Fox TV and the radio program. It would send the Leftists straight into frothing at the mouth, bleeding from the ears seizures.

The constant narrative is how much contempt and hate he has for his white mother and white grandparents
and white people in general.
The genesis is obviously the abandonment by his white mother and
then being dumped with the white grandparents who were strangers to him.
He didn’t lose that contempt by winning an election-it’s his soul.
Beck played clips of Obama ( typical white person, white people don’t want to pay taxes so black kids can go to school )
and Michelle and Gates and Wright yesterday.
The clips played one after the other were grotesque and disgusting.
No white politician and his wife and their core group of friends and advisers
would be allowed to get away with the kind of racial vileness that Obama and Company routinely trumpet.
Chucky, Chucky, Chucky! Obama IS a racist!! You should clean up your own backyard before you try to clean up Fox's backyard. Unlike Crissy and Keith's programs, people actually want to hear Glenn Beck. They want to hear him on the radio, watch him on TV, and read his books. Jealousy is a b*tch, huh? DEAL WITH IT!! :o)

I’d be willing to bet the ratings of a show that consists of just me slapping him around would be higher than his current show.
My biggest disappointment in all this is that he is probably single handedly making it harder for there to be “the next black President”. My wife says he had taken the country almost back to the days of segregation as far as attitudes go.

Olberman was a sportscaster here in LA. He was absolute garbage then and is still garbage now.
