death camps

I get your inference, but I wonder what will happen to someone (like me) who won't succumb to MANDATORY HEALTH INSURANCE?

It IS possible to live without having taxable income. Not as free or as pleasant as now, but do able.

All this to "insure" (or ensure), but not provide health care, for a small percentage of our population.

Certainly seems contrary to the Hippocratic Oath.

..unfortunately my bother passed 5 years ago.
He had an operation and was put in a “recovery” facility
three days after the operation. While there he had clothes stolen, bandages that were supposed to be changed daily WERE NOT, a doctor, one of his surgeons, went berserk when he witnessed the poor care he got....
After I was allowed to “break him out”, I got him home to his apartment where HE wanted to be. We both knew what the end results were going to be, but I was determine that he wasn't going to be subjected to shoddy medical care and wind up with more to deal with then the cards he was dealt.

Calling these hellholes “medical homes” is like calling the Nazi concentration camp ovens “warming rooms for the Jews.”

“According to the committee, the provisions for medical homes will make the public option a stronger competitor against private health insurance companies.”

Whew! Just stick all the undesirables in camps, and they will stop draining the medical system. Out of sight, out of mind. Everybody happy.

House Health-Care Bill Would Establish ‘Medical Homes’ for the Elderly and Disabled

I didn’t know they still had those trailers they sent to New Orleans.

We already have such places and they are pretty effective in care for helpless elderly people.

There is a stage between the hospital and the hospice or grave that requires maintenance attention but little or no hope for recovery. It can last days or weeks or even years.

Such places are extremely depressing and are populated mostly by elderly women who are completely helpless but are alive. In my experience, they get care that is simply not possible were it not for such a facility

Death Camps = my opinion too.

However, there's a nugget of a decent idea in this....90% of (for instance) elder care, doesn't need to have a doc holding everyone's hand. A PA or nurse can handle it, easily.

Same with scratchy throats and runny noses. Kid doesn't need a trip to the ER, just needs someone that knows what they're doing to look in their ears and prescribe an antibiotic.

That's the thing I hate the most about the current healthcare bill. 98% is utter crap. 2% of it might actually do some good. But....rather than "tweaking" the HealthCare system with the good 2%....we need to swallow the whole damned thing. Stupid.

This idea does have the makings of Germany's “T-4” Program.
Think I'll fire up another cee-gar while the steaks marinate.

Thank you mommy for voting democrat all your life so after we pay to put you in a nice assisted living home and nursing home you can leave it for us to be warehoused in govt run “medical homes”, but you voted for the dems and that’s the important thing. /sarcasm

They are following the Nazi Socialist plan like Hitler did. Establish “care centers” for the undesirables among us and then the “patients” all “die” of “natural causes” within a year of commitment. They’re trying to tear up the constitution and take out all who might object one way or the other.

"death camps"

Exactly my first thought.

We have a thoroughly corrupt federal government well past its expiration date.

I would think of them as a “Cash for Codgers” program. You drop grandma off at one, renounce other medical benefits, and get a 4500 dollar rebate.
