After being attacked by groups ranging from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to Media Matters for relentlessly calling on Barack Obama to prove his eligibility for the office of the presidency, CNN's Lou Dobbs wasn't backing off on either his syndicated radio or his television program today.
Once again, he renewed his calls for Obama to produce his long-form birth certificate that would settle doubts about where he was born and offered that the president's actions could actually be "illegal."
Dobbs took on the special-interest groups demanding that CNN shut him up.
"The left is trying to silence their opponents and their competitors in the public marketplace of ideas," he said on his radio show. "One issue in which the ethnocentric issue groups have been trying to silence me is on the issue of illegal immigration. Many of those, if you will, have migrated to me here recently because I, even though I said I believe the president is a citizen of the United States, I don't understand why he shouldn't produce a birth certificate. My God, you're talking about the third rail of American journalism, baby! That's it. I'm not going to back off."

The point is the "Birthers" demanding his BC is not going help him pass legistlation or stop his falling poll numbers, even if Obama wants it to go on on. But Obama wanting it to go on on doesn't appear to be the case.
As this drags on and on it will only hurt Obama not help him. Victim status here is not going to help him.
Either he has something to hide or he is going to make a bunch of us look very foolish at some point in the future.

Obama has no reason to release the BC.
If he were to do so, it is not as if the “birthers” are going to accept his agenda.
Instead, they will move to more tangible issues in opposing Obama.
And until there is a Court Order, which I would not hold my breath waiting, Obama is not going to show anyone his BC.
But strange anyway, especially when it has a higher number than the twins born a few days AFTER him!

He wins a news cycle but it won't help him win his atrocious health care bill or win global warming legistlation or stall his falling popularity.

He's not going to win any new voters by keeping it hidden; Obama is in danger to lose voters, one more questionable issue, as it drags on. Hence the effort to squelch it in recent days.

My prediction is that he’ll come out with his forged copy soon enough, and the media will promptly & loudly accept it as authentic. The thing I’ll be looking at is whether he was born at 7:24pm, if it matches what was posted on the fightthesmears website (and subsequently scrubbed).

If that's the case, Obama better be damn sure no one has the truth to spring it on him. If he calculates wrong, his butt would be in someone's sling. He will have set himself up unwittingly for blackmail and criminal exposure.

Well, I am from Missouri, so just show me the long form certificate-you know, the one that lists his parents and their nationality, race, or color, and time and place etc.
While you are at it, I’d like to see his parents marriage certificate, and if it’s not too much trouble all the rest of the interesting info that has not been released.

All I can say is this:
If what you say above is correct, then I can only say that Obama and the DNC have done a wonderful job of cutivating and encouraging people to "fester", because with each passing day, more and more people are festering over this Obama birth certificate issue and the Obama Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records issue, because Obama won't release his college records.
The danger for Obama, however, is this: This festering may get out of control to the point where Obama and his administration will face such fierce anger in the 2010 and 2012 elections that Obama cannot even imagine today.
