Nonsense it is to be the 99th posting of the same article. That is, this bitter essay of sadsack distraction has been posted time and time again today.

nope. good try, though. one hides things because one has things to hide... lies, frauds, criminal activities, funding from terrorists, etc.

let’s look at this closer..... why would he spent nearly a million dollars paying off people to keep his records sealed? He is a COUNTERFEIT person.

...there is a fair amount of crossover between those fixated on Obama’s birth certificate and the 9/11 “truthers” — lawyer Phil Berg, for instance, is a player in both worlds.

There is nothing that President Obama’s coterie would enjoy more than to see the responsible Right become a mirror image of the loopy Left circa 2003.

The fundamental fiction is that Obama has refused to release his “real” birth certificate. This is untrue. The document that Obama has made available is the document that Hawaiian authorities issue when they are asked for a birth certificate. There is no secondary document cloaked in darkness, only the state records that are used to generate birth certificates when they are requested.

The hallmark of a conspiracy theory is that a lack of evidence for the theory is taken as yet more evidence for the theory. Indeed, the maddening thing about dealing with conspiracy hobbyists of this or any sort is the ever-shifting nature of their argument and their alleged evidence: Never mind the birth certificate, his step-grandmother said he was born in Kenya! (No, she didn’t.)

Birth in Hawaii doesnt automatically qualify him - its whether or not his mother was qualified to convey citizenship to him.

Whatever the case - produce the document and make the naysayers look like a$$es if there is nothing to hide.

There is nothing that the Establishment, Left and Right, fears more than a Constitutional Crisis. I don’t know why that is but I long ago noticed this fear in none other than Bill Buckley himself. When Buckley pronounced leaning back in his telebision chair “That would be a Constitutional Crisis!” that marked the end of the discussion.

THIS is the definitive article on the issue of 0bama's birth certificate, for those who are still ignorant, they should read this. For those who understand what is at stake, this article should be shoved up the ass of any one sneering 'birther-this' and 'birther-that':

— lawyer Phil Berg, for instance, is a player in both worlds

True, Berg is a bit of crackpot but he's one of the DemocRATS' crackpots. His service to and in the Democrat Party is extensive. When he filed suit back in August, 2008, (was it the first birther suit?) he said he was doing it because he was a Hillary supporter.

If nothing else, the DemocRATS need to be reminded that one of their own started the birther train.

Then why not PROVE it?

You know - like using evidence and all?

This has nothing to do with whether Phil Berg is a nut or not, or whether we like NRO or not. The only thing that has anything to do with anything is the document that has the SIGNATURE of the attending physician and nurse. And I want to see the independent hospital records. Until I see those things, everything else is just smoke from burning BS.

...please read up on the nature of conspiracy theories.

Nice try, but...

A conspiracy theory typically regards an unprovable set of circumstances or an event.

In this case, the conspiracy lies on the part of the subject of the conspiracy, namely, Obama. The conspiracy says that he is hiding something.

And, he can easily dispose of the whole controversy or conspiracy by proving via the long form birth certificate that he was indeed born n the U.S..

Obama is the one prolonging this "conspiracy". He can easily dispose of it and he can gloat for months about the lunacy of the right-wing nutjobs who tried to unseat him outside of the ballot box. If he was truly born in the U.S., he has a lot more to gain than lose.

But, he can't dispose of the "conspiracy" because he's got something to hide and the real birth certificate would be very damaging to his presidency.

No wonder "conservatism" is in such bad shape when the idjit "conservative" media make such stupid mistakes (or tell such lies). No, the author(s) did NOT see Obama's birth certificate. They may have seen the counterfeit certificate of live birth, but not the birth certificate. That's where the problem lies.

What a joke NR has become since the advent of Rich Lowry.

I don't particularly trust WorldNetDaily as a source, but this makes perfect sense:

On July 27, 2009 Janice Okubo told WorldNetDaily, “I am not aware of any birth certificate records that have been destroyed by the department. When the department went electronic in 2001, vital records, whether in paper form or any other form, [were] maintained. We don’t destroy records. Any records that we had in paper or any other form before 2001 are still in file within the department. We have not destroyed any vital statistics records that we have.”

I believe it. Why on earth would they destroy the original documents?

If accurate, that contradicts the editors of National Review:

The fundamental fiction is that Obama has refused to release his “real” birth certificate. This is untrue. The document that Obama has made available is the document that Hawaiian authorities issue when they are asked for a birth certificate. There is no secondary document cloaked in darkness, only the state records that are used to generate birth certificates when they are requested.

The COLB itself is a "secondary document," as is the computerized state record that is used to create each COLB. The primary document is the original Certificate of Live Birth, or Certificate of Delayed Birth, or another member of the rather extensive line of Hawaiian birth documents.

For the umpteenth time, here is a link to an actual long form Certificate of Live Birth. Note that it is dated less than a year after Obama's, indicating that the long form certificates were still being used at the time of Obama's birth. Note that it looks markedly different from a COLB, and that it contains much more information than a COLB. Though the NR editors try to conflate them, the two documents are not equivalent.

Sorry NR editors, but Obama probably WAS issued a primary birth document, and it probably DOES still exist, "cloaked in darkness" in a folder in a file cabinet in Hawaii.

If such a document exists, then the President of the United States can certainly get a copy of it released to the public. He might be more inclined to do so if you asked him.

The sort of birth certificate thingy they released is not a slam dunk. That is true. But there are Barry O’s birth announcements in 2 Hawaii papers from when he was born. Do the birthers have some accounting for how those were supposedly faked?

Listen: Obama is pro-abortion, a race baiter, an appointer of terrible judges, a corrupt spender of our money (see “stimulus”), and on and on.

Why destroy the credibility of the conservative movement by wrongly insisting that he wasn’t born in Hawaii?

Why not focus instead on stopping Obama Care, which, if it passes, is likely to be a disaster of enormous proportions?
