Birth in Hawaii doesnt automatically qualify him - its whether or not his mother was qualified to convey citizenship to him.
Whatever the case - produce the document and make the naysayers look like a$$es if there is nothing to hide.
Not true. Birth in Hawaii makes his mother's qualifications irrelevant, even for mere citizenship. US Citizen parent's time in US residence only applies to births abroad, and with a foreign father. But again that's for citizenship, naturalized at birth citizenship at that.
But for natural born citizenship, his father's qualifications OTOH, that is nationality at the time of birth may indeed matter.
By NOT producing the document he is making the naysayers look like a$$es. It's in his own best interest to keep this controversy going. Why should he put the brakes on something that's helping distract everybody from his agenda & undercut the credibility of his opposition with the general public? Why should he help conservatives by putting this to rest?
I'd say the birther issue is working out quite well for Barack Obama & his agenda just the way it is. He's the one who'd be nuts to produce a birth certificate now.
Ever notice that just when his ratings start to dip & his agenda gets stuck in the mud, the MSM brings up the BC controversy out from the shadows again?
There's a very good reason for that.
