HONOLULU -- State officials again are confirming that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Monday she has seen the original birth records that verify Obama was born in Hawaii, and is a "natural-born American citizen."
Fukino made the announcement in hopes of ending any lingering rumors about Obama's citizenship. She issued a similar press release Oct. 31.

What if we do both?
I think it's more disinformation. They found a friendly reporter to post a bogus internet story. He'll retract it later but in the meantime it gets spread all over the internet as "Fact". I wouldn't believe it until the website for Hawaii has it listed as a press release as they did the original statement.
I won't believe it till I SEE it....and I am sure that there are lots of people like me, even here! If it's the real deal, why is he intent on hiding it? Hmmmm?
Sure it is real......but where was he born? We know their laws/rules....anyone can have a birth certificate from Hawaii.
Maybe an attempted set up, but simply relying on what some state official says does nothing to achieve their goal and slam the birthers, it does just the opposite, it make the birther case even more legit. After all, the birthers simply want to actually see the long form BC, and know what hospital bambi was born in, and the name of the doctor who delivered him etc Mac did it, and without fighting one bit. Its only fair, to anyone with common sense, that bambi be required to do same.
Bambi gains NOTHING by this announcement, zero, zilch, nada.
Ummm... wait until the hangover wears off... then it will be clearer... :-)
Well, you heard of the day the music died... well, this is the day that the birth certificate issue died....mark it on your calendar...
I smell a rat. Something it extremely strange here. If there is NO problem with the BC...why haven’t we seen it?
Nope. She parsed what she said and it isn't a direct quote. And foreigners can get a Hawaiian BC.
Clearing the Smoke on Obamas Eligibility: An Intelligence Investigators June 10 Report
I asked the Dept of Health what they currently ask for (in 2008) to back up a parents claim that a child was born in Hawaii. I was told that all they required was a proof of residence in Hawaii (e.g. a drivers license [We know from interviews with her friends on Mercer Island in Washington State that Ann Dunham had acquired a drivers license by the summer of 1961 at the age of 17] or telephone bill) and pre-natal (statement or report that a woman was pregnant) and post-natal (statement or report that a new-born baby has been examined) certification by a physician. On further enquiry, the employee that I spoke to informed me that the pre-natal and post-natal certifications had probably not been in force in the 60s. Even if they had been, there is and was no requirement for a physician or midwife to witness, state or report that the baby was born in Hawaii.
I bet he's a friendly reporter who put this story out to confuse the issue. It may be retracted in a few hours, but in the meantime the internet and some news organizations will report it as truth.
I’ll stand by my predictions as I’ve stood by them since the election (and you can see plenty of posts of mine on it, from before the election to afterwards to just in the last couple of days)... This issue just died today...
But, that’s not to say that there won’t be a few around who will carry a torch, it’s just that no one will be paying too much attention any more....
My regret about the whole thing is that it will make it harder to get the state laws passed that I was talking about.
I’ll mark it allright.
Are you a male or a female, just curious?
Then why not show it to the public ? Why the secret squirrel BS ? Efforts to see this POS’s basic qualification to be POTUS are disruptive to all sides of this .........?!?!? No wait !
Wag the Dog moment ?
Not quite but you can keep wishing. Too bad that facts mean nothing. That article was Clinton style parsing.
I noticed on BO’s COLB that it shows his mother as “Caucasian”, and his father as “African”. Would’nt the proper terms for that era be “white” & “Black”?
Believe me... this one is going down a rathole after today’s announcement...
Wait for it...
Not my wishes, just a statement of the reality of things. It actually makes it more difficult now, to get state laws passed requiring a birth certificate... another recognition of reality... but I still think that needs to be done.
