ANCHORAGE – With one day left until she steps down as Alaska governor, Sarah Palin retained an air of mystery about her future plans. And if husband and self-titled “First Dude” Todd Palin knew anything more, he wasn’t saying.
“We’ll play it by ear,” said Todd Palin in a brief interview alongside his black Dodge pick-up truck. “We’ll take a little breather and go from there.”
Gov. Palin, speaking for less than five minutes at a Saturday afternoon picnic here, paid tribute to the military and urged a few thousand people gathered in a downtown park to remember that their freedoms are protected by those who serve.
She spent much of the day under a tent, dishing out salmon burgers and hot dogs to the hundreds who waited in line for a glimpse at the governor and a free lunch.
While the outgoing governor was serving one of Alaska’s signature dishes, Todd Palin put their son Trigg on his shoulders and greeted a few supporters and chatted with some of the event’s volunteers. The picnic, replete with live music and children's games, is an annual affair for the governor but it took on the feel of a goodbye celebration ahead of Palin’s resignation.
Yet few here or anywhere else in the state know just what Palin is leaving state government for.
Todd Palin did say that Alaska would remain their home base and indicated that, despite the millions that may come their way after his wife leaves office, he had no plan to give up his blue-collar jobs.
“I’ll always be a fisherman, I’ll probably always be out working on the slope,” he said, alluding to his oilfields job in the state’s far-northern tier.

She has more strength then I would ever have having to deal with the crap she has had to deal with. After all, she is a mother whose son is fighting in Iraq for our freedom, she has him to worry about, wondering if he is Ok, and she has to deal with these bastards who want to destroy her life. She has more important things to worry about, making sure her son comes home safely. That is more important to her then any garbage the media throws at her.
One thing that I learned in the last year is that I no longer recognize this America. I never knew there was such hate in it, to hear what these people can say about a fellow human being, they are vermin. Liberals are absolute vermin, and they obviously have no moral fiber or else they would be just as angry to see what is occurring in our country, but of course, they are all for it, they support turning this country into a Communist nation. I agree. A lot of them were here hoping to trap her in an unguarded moment saying something they could use against her or to scoop all the other "news" outlets.
Yet another lie told about Palin. She explained exactly why she was leaving. The libs(and some who call themselves conservative)are just to stupid to understand what she said in two speeches, speeches that clarified her reasons.

We can't win with any of the RINOs who think they are entitled to be President, that includes Mitt and the other dumb a** Huckabee, Rudy or who ever else the RINObots can come up with.
We will either have Sarah, or someone exactly like her, running in 2012 or the GOP might as well kiss it's collective a** goodbye because sure as God made little green apples there will be a third party formed.
And I am stunned to find out that some acquaintances of mine are really, really ignorant! I mean, I kind of figured some didn't keep up on current events, but I never thought they were so gullible and easily fooled!
I lost a few friends since November 2008, because I just can't pretend it doesn't bother me that they're so taken with 0bama.
It really saddens me some times, to know that people I used to respect are so brainwashed by this corrupt man.

That is my take on things as well. In the meantime we have much to do to advance conservatism. National tea party and opposing Obama every step of the way.
Senators and Reps want and like the D.C. lifestyle. Make them earn it. You will represent us our lose the seat that we have given you for 6 or 2 years. Enough of this “entitlement” attitude. Get out and work for what you want and earn the respect of those who are putting you in any position.
