HOW LIFE WORKS (immutable laws of life point to Creation/Intelligent Design)
Journal of Creation ^ | Alex Williams

Posted on 07/25/2009 10:11:21 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

Life is not a naturalistic phenomenon with unlimited evolutionary potential as Darwin proposed. It is intelligently designed, ruled by immutable laws, and survives only because it has a built-in facilitated variation mechanism for continually adapting to internal and external challenges and changes. The essential components are: functional molecular architecture and machinery, modular switching cascades that control the machinery and a signal network that coordinates everything. All three are required for survival, so they must have been present from the beginning—a conclusion that demands intelligent design. Life’s built-in ability to adapt and diversify looks like Darwinian evolution, but it is not. Darwin’s theory of speciation via natural selection of natural variation is correct in principle, but it cannot be extrapolated to universal ancestry. What we see instead is different kinds of organisms having been designed for different kinds of lifestyles, with enormous potential for diversification built-in at the beginning, but with time this potential for diversification has become depleted by selection and degraded by mutations so that we are now rapidly heading towards extinction. Intelligent design and rapid decay point to recent Creation and Fall, as the Bible tells us....

That's the difference between real science and creation "science." The former follows the evidence where it leads. The latter decides where it has to go and juggles the evidence to get there.

This is to actually ignore the vast evidence.

IF evolutionists went where the evidence led, they wouldn't need to hijack the legal system to indoctrinate children.

IOW you can't have it both ways.

How curious, because evos want to have it both ways ALL the time. For instance, right here on this forum I hear that Christianity and evolution are compatable.

Or allmendream claiming to be a Christian while at the exact same time denying children be taught evolution IS God's intelligent design.

But nooooooo, what we actually see is a concerted effort to obscure all this from children. We see the legal system being hijacked to keep any and everything that dares criticze the cult of evolution out of schools.

Try again Stultis.

Evolution posits that mutations that get passed on start in an individual and get passed on in its offspring.

If the individual animal had 100% useful DNA, no junk DNA and no mutations, then there would be the chance for a wide variety of diversity in form held within that individual. Different traits would be expressed as groups became geographically isolated from each other, just as evolution claims natural selection causes those beneficial mutations to be expressed for survival under the right conditions.

Groups DO become isolated geographically from each other, do they not? Why are you surprised at the concept?
************************************************************
“You are (literally) asserting that maximum genetic diversity was to be found in population sizes of 2 to 7 individuals, and that diversity decreased from there as population sizes grew.”
************************************************************
Not grew, became geographically isolated from each other. Population increase alone would not necessarily cause a decrease in genetic diversity.

If an individual carried 100% useful DNA, no junk DNA and no mutations, why is that improbable?

Ask the evolutionists.

Look at who is calling who *creatards*, IDiots*, *islamists*, theocrats*.

Take a hike over to DC is you want to feel the love, or LGF, or any other evolutionist site.

Here's a link to a creationist website. Get back to me with links to the hate.

If evos get all up in arms about creationists judging who is a Christian and who is not, then why is it OK for evolutionists to do the same?

I am pointing out that it is NOT OK, metmom. You may notice the comment that I was replying to set the standard that unless I think Creationism/I.D. should be taught in public school then I am only “claiming” to be a Christian.

Try to think a little more and post a little less.

There’s more than a little inconsistency in someone saying they are Christian and trying to keep things Christian out of the schools.

So now I am just “saying” I am Christian because I disagree with you about introducing sectarian beliefs into our public schools?

Do you think it is the governments job to teach your children religion in public schools?

Do you consider this a conservative position?

Evolution is beyond any doubt a religion; refusing to allow any other religion to be taught makes evolution a state religion which is in fact forbidden by our constitution.

It’s the liberal position to expunge religion out of the public schools.

The Constitution does not demand that religion be kept out of the public schools. At one time public schools opened every day with Bible reading and prayer until groups like the ACLU forced it out through litigation.

The conservative position is to allow the free exercise thereof. The liberal position is for thought police, federal government control of education and to support it.

Can you be a Christian and a liberal? Mighty tough.

So you DO think it is the governments job to provide religious instruction to your children.

And you call yourself a conservative?

You know what "form" means, right? It's the shape or structure of something, its morphology. It's basically the same thing biologists refer to as the "phenotype," which is as opposed to the genotype, and comes from the Greek word phaínein, which means to shine (forth) and appear, i.e. it's how something looks.

How do you know it came from that Greek word? Were you there? Do you have examples of all the transitionals between "phaínein" and "form"? Does this mean "phaínein" carried in it all the information necessary to produce "form" and every related derivation?
