Now there was a real journalist.
~~~
Truer words were never spoken, and above that: he was a supremely decent, compassionate, loving and very beloved human being. No finer role model for anyone. You are so missed, Tony.
That’s the way it is, the big lie!
LOL. Cute.
When Rose Bird kicked the bucket, I commented, “Guess that was one death sentence she couldn’t overturn.”
That got me banned from the site I made it on, but it was worth it. Many members sent me emails saying they agreed with me.
Walter Cronkite had not one 10th the class of Tony Snow. It's a freaking fallacy that we can not tell the truth and be righteous. Tony was a hero, Walter was a disgrace.
Cronkite was a proclaimed atheist...Additionally, I remember Cronkite saying (after his wife died) that......"he could have fallen in love with a man just as easily as he fell in love with a woman."
*shrug* I’m clinging to the promise of a short time.
Probably would be easier if I were a believer...
It’s gonna “irk my guts” to turn on the television for the next Jacko-Uncle Walter fest, which will likely last for days on end.
First Robert Mcnamara now Walter Cronkite. Both individuals who influenced the Vietnam war....tragically for the worst.
I was thinking of Walter earlier today hearing about the Apollo anniversery. On one of the lift offs, you could over hear Walter on-mic saying “Go baby, Go!” That will be my memory of him. RIP Walter.
Actually, the man was a freak. This is what happens to the radicals minds. I hope his wife wasn’t as stupid as he obviously was....
“TONIGHTS BODY COUNT: 1”
LOl! Yeop. That’s what that POS did. He thought he could drum the body count and say how we were losing the war even though we were winning and we killed way more of them than they did us.
However many times its been, its not enough. The troll is still here. I think it's an opportunity to set the slimeball straight information-wise. I doubt it will help though as far as educating the guy. He's got the attitude, charm and IQ of Al Franken.
To: Mmogamer
Not a fan of his broadcast style, however, I wish for him to rest in peace, and may his family find the comfort they need at this time.
Interesting how the Afghanistan body count has dropped off the radar, now that it’s Barack’s war...
