It would have been dismissed on lack of standing anyway.

The thing is, the judge *did* imply that he had standing by taking the case. He only dismissed it after relief was granted. Basically, Cook won by default.

Doesn’t putting your life on the line constitute “standing” ?

Standing is what this case was all about. If anyone has standing to question the eligibility of any POTUS it is a soldier who has been orderd by the CiC in harm's way.

The fact that his deployment orders were rescinded so quickly would have lit a fire under the chair of every news editor in the USA, except that the POTUS is Barack Obama, and is immune to any and all questions about his eligibility, competence, political ideas, past associations,...

“It would have been dismissed on lack of standing anyway”

WRONG....
It was his STANDING that made this case so dangerous to Obama, and resulted in swift action by someone inside the Pentagon to make sure it went away.

"It would have been dismissed on lack of standing anyway."

Putting aside ALL the legal bullsquat -- the "brightest" and "most unifying" PRESIDENT of the United States who MUST be aware there are folks refusing to take him seriously due to questions about his Constitutional eligibility, would at LEAST like to end all questions about this CONSTITUTIONAL issue by simply providing a piece of paper..

Yes - the simple production of a piece of paper would put an end to the "tinfoil lunatics" doubting Obama's eligibility to be President....

Instead - he spends an uncounted fortune to avoid simply producing a Birth Certificate which he claims to possess...

Shouldn't sane folks wonder -- WHY?

“It would have been dismissed on lack of standing anyway”

Agreed, it was (IMO) a ridiculous assertion to begin with.
