I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.
The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.
David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.

Just watched you on TV. You are a bull dog! Congratulations for not letting Shuster shut you up!
He slammed FR right in the intro. Why did kristinn even bother to appear? It was just an attempt to make FR look bad. I think FR should try and avoid these set-up jobs in the future. Now the damage is done. They got their FR slam in there, probably to people who have never even heard of FR. Was it worth it to appear? I don’t think so.

Way to go Kristinn! I felt you really got a lot in within a short amount of time! You defended Jim Robinson well, FR well, and you pointed out how we have standards but the other side doesn’t. I had my fist in the air. Yes. Sarah Palins kids can be trashed with no outrage at all by those on the left. It is great what you said and I taped it.

The key to being effective in these TV sound-bite exchanges is to briefly make your defensive point, and then move quickly to offense - you know you were scoring points when Shuster tried to cut you off when you raised the case of the trashing of Sarah Palin and her children.
Yep, it was a drive-by plinking. I’m surprised they allowed Kristinn to even appear; it’s more like MSNBC to just spew uncontested lies.

And for the information of the general public, the pulled thread was never reinstated. The thread in question was posted on the ninth and reported via abuse report on the morning of the 10th and was pulled within minutes of that report by the Religion Moderator “for review.” And it stayed pulled. The Admin Moderator later found two more copies of the same article (one posted on the 8th) and pulled them both around 11:00 am on the 10th. And he re-pulled the thread in question at the same time to change the “for review” pulling message to simply “pulled.”
Also, to clear up the mystery, our moderators do NOT review every post or every thread. That would be an impossible task. We do have a “pending” file where we get a chance to review newbie posts before they go public. That gives us a chance to reject the mental cases from DU and DailyKOS who seem to get off by registering troll accounts on FR to post homosexual porn. And that newbie review program has definitely reduced our number of perverted liberal headcase trolls.
They didn’t mention the article by Chris either.
Shuster probably still believes it was Palin who said she could see Russia from her house and not Tina Fey. He is such an idiot, and an obvious liar. He’s foolish if he thinks people have forgotten the whole bit about Letterman and Willow already.
The best part was you were obviously prepared to politely stay on point when the host tried to shout you down. Still, he wasn’t having any of that Palin stuff aired if he could help it.
The LOL moment was when Shuster said what Palin got doesn’t even begin to compare to this.
Shuster stated towards the end that “we can’t control all the posters on all the blogs.” I almost took that as a concession because to say anything else would be to defend the attacks against Palin.
GREAT job! Wish Kristinn had questioned Schuster about his ‘pimping out Chelsea’ comment. LMAO!
