I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.
The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.
David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.
I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.

Shuster claiming that nothing like this was ever said about Palin’s kids...yeah right. It was a brief hit piece to fill time between cheering for Sotomayor and cheering for Obama.

The joke about Schuster is he claims the attacks on Palin & family were not nearly as bad as what was done to Malia.

Made me wanna puke...but hey, at least dum dum from kos wasn’t on there. I thought he was going to be. COOL, so glad he didn’t get on. And now he’s proven false...by his accusations about the thread being pulled, put back etc.

Shuster had his axe to grind and did not cede anything. He completely missed the point that the strength of FR lies in self-moderation and self-policing.
I give Kristinn lots of credit for being there and supporting Free Speech. He spoke calmly and clearly.

While he wasn’t allowing the corn hole to run over him, I don’t think there was enough time to spell out the story. This was the quintessential “drive-by” interview... spew misinformation/BS, give 30 seconds to respond and then wrap it up.
Yes. It was an attempted ambush, but Kristinn had him flanked.

I thought kristinn did well. He got the most important message out clearly, which was that the claim that the offending thread(s) were "allowed to stay up [with] moderator approval" is false.
I just saw this and when the trashing of Palin’s kids were brought up the idiot news guy from MSNBC then asked for an apology. He made it sound like the comments were republished and that the “N” word was used.
No person with half a brain watches MSNBC anyway. It is Obama’s station so only diehard liberals watch.
They twisted it so bad.
