Freepers, get the word out loud and wide. The Vancouver Sun "journalist" Chris Parry that defamed Jim Robinson and FreeRepublic is none other than radical left blogger "Hollywoodoz" at the Daily Kos. In addition to writting for the Vancouver Sun, Chris is a frustrated and failed internet entrepreneur, having launched many websites and blogs, all of which have virtually no traffic, following, or success. Chris also writes movie reviews, though these are pretty lame.
Chris Parry actually advocated attacking "negros" and blaming the republicans for it. To be clear, I made no accusations against Free Republic. That was only in your mind. There are posters on Free Republic and there is Free Republic. The two are separate. I don't expect Jim Robinson to publicly sanction every post that is made on Free Republic with some sort of imprimatur. The thread was pulled, which seems to say to me that something was happening on the thread which did not get the imprimatur of the site's overseers.
Is it so bad to admit that some posters did not exercise wise judgment on that thread? Isn't that better than obfuscating our way through a fog with the opposition? Isn't that what we accuse them of doing? Wouldn't we be better off simply trumpeting truth on every occasion?

The proof looks fine by me. The article written by Hollywoodoz claiming to own Unreel Media was written in 2006. The company has since been sold, apparently.
Yes, all of the racial slurs were authored by people with brand-new accounts. The entire thread was locked and the accounts were banned.
It does appear that Chris Parry was either intimately involved in the authoring of the slurs, or even behind the entire event, as within minutes of the thread appearing on FR, he had a post up on Kos detailing how evil and racist we FReepers are.
Combine that timing with his past statements that libs should impersonate conservatives and make them look bad... well, there you go.
Imaginary ebonics? I didn’t see that and don’t have a clue what you are referring to and don’t care. One side of my family is all from Alabama, some city, some rural, and honestly when a few of them talk of you didn’t look you would think they were black. Where did the Southern accent come from?
We have a friend from very rural, Southern Tennessee and we always kid her because of the way she speaks. Things like “We is goin to da sto”. I guess according to you, she is making fun of blacks everyday of her life. I guess I don’t care. As long as people don’t threaten others I believe in the 1st amendment. Granted on any internet forum it’s up to the owners to determine what they allow. I just don’t read racist into every single thing I see. It seems some here seek it out and it makes me wonder why.
Friends of ours have a black miniature poodle and they named it Nappy. Now you go ahead and say they are racist. I would like you to say it to their face. He’s black and she’s white. They thought the name was cute and I guess he is secure enough to not live his life based on what might or might not be racist. I even said I can’t believe you named him Nappy, but it’s not up to me to tell them what they can name their dog or what I think about it. Maybe Kos would like their names so they can harass them.
According to the screen shot put up by bass-whatever, the ‘whore’ comment was by 1_rain_drop, who I’d never seen posting here before or since. Do we have its sign up date? Other posting history?
Bass-whatever seems to acknowledge that the most offensive posts were by ONE poster, ONE Freeper ... and yet that Parry cretin and Shyster at MSNBC have their panties in a wad, publicizing that Free Republic is host to racists? More than a little irony given some of the Parry/Hollywoodoz DKos comments copied onto this thread and Pimpboy’s own comments about a “First Daughter.”

Manc participated in the thread pretty heavily and threw plenty of gasoline on the fire. They are on this thread with some regularity. Is that good enough for you? Of course not. You're clinging to some outdated picture of the world where there's only good guys and bad guys. And in reality, some great people have flaws and some bad people have redeeming qualities.
And no one has a de facto monopoly on truth. As for being a poor Alinskyite, I would hope that I would be so. As for being a logician, you are very poor at it.
