46% of Americans view Palin favorably, with 45% holding a negative opinion of her. In monthly surveys conducted between April and June her favorable rating was in the range of 42-43%.

I'd say her's is a damn sight better'n Zer0's right now......nuff said...

Before anyone jumps and cries Public Policy Polling is a Dem pollster, Freepers accepted PPP’s recent survey results showing Jersey and Virginia ripe for GOP takeover this year.

PPP is a primary Democrat firm.

What are the numbers for D/I/R asked?

That’s where the key lies.

"-She has a +8 net favorability rating with men but a -6 one with women. "

That's shocking, and could probably be the stuff enterprising psychiatrists could publish articles, perhaps even books about.

Her unfavorability mirrors, or even surpasses Hilary Clinton's. And, we know how that turned out. On the other hand, Palin hasn't had a moments peace from the criticism since the campaign ended. I don't think it's impossible for her to turn it around if, as some others have mentioned, she begins to surround herself with some quality coaches. If she continues to go it alone, she'll never get past her own negatives.

How much do you want to bet that most of the women dinging her with negatives are just jealous of her beauty and gracefulness? Sarah reminds me of both a favorite school teacher and a Den Mother.

Who cares right now anyway? No one knows what she’s going to do. This is nothing more than bored pundits passing the time as the dog days of summer approaches. Just to give noted anti-Palin troll steve-b some mental stimulation.

-She has a +8 net favorability rating with men but a -6 one with women.

I'd love to see the breakdown of this one.
While I wouldn't exactly call Gender politics a myth, it is trumped by Racial politics.

When a GOP presidential candidate is down 6 points among women, they tend to be even among white women, but down about 80 points among black women. That's a little statistical lie when you lump all that together and call it the women's vote. (Same thing happens for men, by the way.)

A couple years of Carter 2.0 economics should narrow the gap between zero and Sarah. Time is our friend.

A lot of Dems are worried the “free checks” may no longer be in the mail.......But, just think, those “Evil Bush Tax Cuts”(tm) expire in about 6 months.

When it comes to whether she's fit to be President though, 55% of voters in the country say no with just 37% in the affirmative.

She needs to devote her time now to changing that number. I think she can do it - this is a woman with enormous personal magnetism. Once people see her and hear her directly instead of through the MSM's filter, I suspect a lot of people are going to find Palin a lot more likable and admirable than her crazed detractors.

-Despite her overall popularity with Republicans only 68% of them think she is cut out to be chief executive.

Only 68%...

She’s got to get out and define herself and convince the voters she’s qualified and isn’t an idiot. Now that the straitjacket is off, I think she can pull that off.

The numbers are improving and she's been tied down by the Obama/Dem machine in Alaska.

She'll be on the loose soon. We'll see what happens then.

At this point, being 16 points down to who the media tells us is the most popular president ever isn’t that bad at this point.

I have to laugh at these folks saying Sarah isn’t ‘fit’ to be President, considering the person occupying that office right now.
