I sense internal confusion, here.
Perhaps Governor Palin isn’t resigning so as to free herself from the job.
Perhaps Governor Palin is resigning to as to free herself from the “-R” which follows the title Governor of Alaska.
Perhaps the GOP had better pick a lane. Now. Or become a historical footnote.
[Reagan was a political heavyweight. Palin is a political lightlight. End of story.]
That’s ridiculous. Reagan was in his 70s when he hit the presidency, Palin will be getting better with time. And bad as Carter was, we will now be in the middle of a full depression with an out and out Marxist.
Unless you can name another conservative LEADER who takes no prisoners, I’m signing up with Palin’s army. You can sit on the sidelines with Romney or McCain.
I hate to burst your third party dreams, but she is not going to do that...
Like Reagan, she takes swipes at the mainstream media. And like Reagan, she makes it clear she is not afraid to take views contrary to conventional wisdom in Washington. Most of all, Palin came across as genuine and real. In a convincing way.

Sarah Palin will never be president. She is un-electable. Freepers are wasting their time glomming onto her in the faint hope she’ll be another Reagan. She’s not even close.

Palin does something no leftist or left leaning politician can do -
speak from her core values and be genuine and honest about them.
You really can’t fake that.

Exactly.
Reagan set high goals and standards. To that end, she does emulate him. But she doesn’t have to parrot him, in fact, it would be a disservice to do so. She is her own person and a most welcome and refreshing change from the status quo.
I wish people would stop making comparisons, let her be her own person. After awhile, watch people start saying, “he/she could be the next Sarah Palin”.
