Marching around with signs makes you "feel" good, but is not going to get it done. I've been there; done that.
It is time for civil disobedience. It's worked for the liberals for decades, why can't or won't we do it? Being hauled off from a peaceful "sit-in" is a misdemeanor.
Are Constitutionalists that afraid? Think what the Founding Fathers put on the line? Need I enumerate those who lost their lives, properties, wives/children, et al to be free men?
NO ONE is listening to you nor even acknowledging the TEA Parties. I may be wrong about today, the 4th - unless you all make MY point that can't be ignored by our new totalitarian Fedgov.
That means staying past your permit time frames; sit-ins; chaining yourselves together; chanting at the top of your lungs for Constitution restoration; and willing to stay overnight in jail for civil disobedience. Anything short of that will have NO affect. I guarantee it. Watch.
And yes, if I could be at one of those demonstrations, I would gladly and peacefully let Law Enforcement drag me off (no violence). There are none locally and I can't leave sick family to travel large distances.
How bad off is Cindy Sheehan after being carted off from so many events? Think about that!
It's time for the signs to mean something!!! I doubt anyone will try. You will all go home at the end of the protest/demonstration feeling good about yourselves, while Obambi, Reid, Pelosi, the MSM, et al will ignore such benign gatherings.
This Republic is done unless we RISE up! We need only a small amount of sacrifice that the Founding Fathers gave.
;)
American Idol became the sole topic of conversation for two whole days.
Two whole days...it is more like 40 whole days. They just don’t have the show and people discuss it the next few days...they have the shows and people talk about it all week. I know what your point is however but just wanted to ensure people that priorities are not exactly sensible right now. Right now people are very interested in Michael Jackson, BBQs, beer, fireworks, and Sarah Palin (not a bad thing but just one of the topics).
Sit ins do nothing. I will join with anyone who wants to hold one but I can assure you it will not get you notice. It will not get you news coverage.
Perhaps ( and there is only a slight chance of this working) we could arrange self immolations on the front lawn of the White House. Little else will be dramatic enough for the TV -—even then since it is against The One it will be attributed to insanity.
I fear we have lost our country by giving in to “compassionate conservatism” and allowing Republicans to spend like drunken democrats.
Sadly I do not think that there is anything that can save our Republic except blood, history offers no other solution to our problem. For all the marches, speeches and sit ins will solve little if good people do not carve out the infected portions of their society and destroy them utterly. They did not do this in Russia in the 90’s and now look at the mess they got. That entire country is run by gangsters and thugs.
Just remember that all liberals are cowards, and as a result live a cowards existence. This is why they infest professions such as Law, Media & Academia, where they can spread & do great evil but be untouchable, even rewarded greatly.
Personally I do not see how it can be otherwise but you are correct in that we should try every non violent option open to us.
But in the end know this, THESE VERMIN ARE LEFTIST! They do not care how much you suffer as long as they get power over you!
I wonder about that every single day, Vet.
The demonstrations and tea parties aren't useless, they're good morale builders, get the circulation going. It's human nature, people need pep talks to get worked up to do big things, to leap to that next level. But civil disobedience is what needs to ensue at that next level. The situation in America is dire.
Right now they are doing us a favor. By not broadcasting this, it has to be accepted as a grassroots movement. Put together by people, who are willing to forgo the media, to get what they want. Having no media, at the moment, is actually an advantage.
We all know what is coming and it would be beneficial to tell people why we are protesting and explain the consequences this socialist path will bring. The federal government is breaching its contract with its citizens and sovereign states. The federal government is promoting the devaluation of the dollar to refuse any responsibility or care for the consequences of excessive debt and spending.
The administration has legitimized totalitarian regimes abroad while creating hardships for our traditional allies. The government is killing competition in the private sector to gain political capital and to keep the middle class down. The government has a friend in the media which allows them to control the message and avoid any real criticism. The federal government has lost touch with reality and the American people have every right to be disobedient.
After saying all that, I doubt there will be any real movement until the bond market explodes. We shall see and I am willing and waiting to fight.
He is documenting the Tea Party Movement in Connecticut. He has produced a 43-minute documentary on the Spring phenomena!

Thank you!! I am a from RI.
If it goes from tea to lead, will “THEY” listen then?
I didn’t mean to imply that we should start shooting today, just that if there is a real concern and desire to change (or reestablish) then people should be willing to sacrifice a little more than just a couple of free hours on a Saturday. Not that Tea Parties aren’t a good start - I think they are. I’ve attended a few and I’ll be going today. But they should be just that - a start. Politicians and elected officials should pay attention to what the citizens are saying. But if they don’t then there should be a next step and people who are willing to take it.
It’s our country and we should ask for it back, demand it back and, if NECESSARY take it back. Assembly/rally, civil protest, civil disobedience...
I’m a quiet, peaceful man, by nature. I think most of the people I’ve met at the tea parties are. But I’m finally mad. That’s all.
Thanks for starting this post. Thanks for letting me vent.
I agree. I am willing though to wait until after the big 9/12 event in DC. Time for the tea to sufficiently brew is needed.
What should be going on behind the brewing times is the setting up of the tea cart.
The movement is growing.
That is why it is time for civil disobedience. Tea Parties are turning into family outings and that is NOT the way to go .We need to start tearing DC apart. The country has been taken over folks, this is not a game. Time for fighting in the streets. I do not have the organizational skills to start a movement but I would put time and money into any organization that is dedicated to to SERIOUS AGGRESSIVE protest against the Marxist take over of the country.
I think that most conservative people (not Republican)have so much too loose than those with the liberal side of the house. I always saw when I was in law enforcement judges with heavy left sided influences let these guys off...compared to someone that was “responsible” and should have known better.
It’s a poor excuse - but there it is. I agree, there needs to be something done - but it’s going to have to be an explosion nation wide to waken people up to the real situation that their comfortable lives are now over and they had better do something about it...but the socialists know this - Islamic radicals know this - this is what ever so slowly march ahead - they sneak around right in front of us - but never upset the daily life of those they want to control. I liken it to a pink great white swimming up and down the shore - most people will look at it as a ridiculous thing - but it’s still a great white with the potential of turning your destroying life if you “splash” in the water to loudly...
Yes - WE NEED THE 2nd REVOLUTION and the those yahoos in Wash DC need to be thrown out!
I agree that we need to inform people but be real , they own the media . They are also set to stop talk radio and they will at some point come for us freepers too.Time is here for aggressive resistance.I would suggest getting military involved. I can’t say what i really want to say on here . I don’t want to get thrown out.
Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men
who signed the Declaration of Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British and executed as traitors. They were tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army;
another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or
hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes,
and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.
Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated,
but they signed the Declaration of Independence
knowing full well that the penalty would be death if
they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and
trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the
British Navy. He sold his home and properties to
pay his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British
that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.
He served in the Congress without pay, and his family
was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him,
and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown,Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that
the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson
home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General
George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed,
and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed.
The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished forever.
Some of us take these liberties so much for
granted, but we shouldn’t.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It’s not much to ask for the price they paid.
Remember: freedom is never free!
I hope you will show your support by sending this to as many
people as you can, please. It’s time we get the word out that patriotism and the Fourth of July has more to it than barbecues and such.
God Bless America!
I agree that not having a lot of media coverage at this time is an advantage. I think people at this point more than anything need to network and discuss "what-if" things with like minded people.
It's going to take a while to build up the movement, and it's going to have to have staying power if the other side really decides to get mean and nasty.
That is very true, name calling is the start. It is going to get tougher, not easier as we get rolling. Remember they have a distinct advantage, they indoctrinate children everyday in school. At the college level the same thing also occurs. It is not until they finish school, do most children begin to think, and reason.
We need to change the focus of the tea party from ‘taxes’ to the real issue; Obama’s elgibility for POTUS.
At the last tea party, I was the ONLY one with a sign that read, ‘Show us the birth certificate’!
The way to get this usuper out is to raise enough furor to force him to unseal his bc and records.
Obama has managed to live for almost 50 years without leaving any footprints — none! There is no Obama documentation — no records — no bona fides — no paper trail — nothing! — and he’s got an army of lawyers making sure it stays that way — and the unflattering stuff, out there in the world and on the Internet is systematically disappearing down the rabbit hole.

The Illinois State Archives told Judicial Watch that they never received any request from Senator Obama to archive any records in his possession. In 2007, Obama told Tim Russert that his records were “not kept.”
And there’s less on the web every day. In time, the entire Obama body of knowledge will consist of 3 documents — “Dreams From My Father” — “The Audacity of Hope” — and the latest — “Change We Can Believe In” — all written by Barack Hussein Obama or his “ghost-writers.”
