Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is expected to announce Friday that she will not seek a second term, a Republican source close to Palin tells CNN.

Palin has scheduled a 3 p.m. ET news conference at her home in Wasilla. The governor’s office offered no further details about the subject of the news conference, but the sources tells CNN that Palin will announce her decision to forgo another run.

Both political parties in Washington have no use for Sarah Palin. They don’t want someone who will really stand up for the common hard-working decent American citizen. All DC national leaders of both parties just want to rape us. I agree. I think she's had more than enough of politics in this lifetime and who could blame her? Nobody with any sense would run for dog catcher in this country unless the candidate is a progressive looney of the protected class of either party or is a masochist of the highest degree.
