Obama confident in recovery despite jobs report

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Thursday that he remains confident the economy will turn around in the short term and the nation will prosper in the long term despite another dose of bad unemployment news. "And I'm absolutely confident that we can, at this period of difficulty, prove, once again, what this nation can achieve when challenged," Obama said in the Rose Garden after a meeting with executives from energy companies. Earlier, the government reported that employers cut a larger-than-expected 467,000 jobs in June. The unemployment rate climbed to a 26-year high of 9.5 percent. Obama called that report sobering news but better than the last economic quarter and a sign that the recession is slowing.

He’s got so much experience. He passed out free cigarettes to get out the vote for at least a year or two. Hell, what could better prepare him to run the largest economy in the world?

Hmm... I’m “really confident” that my old buddy who’s making a killing in the precious metals business is going to send me a few spare Krugerrands, too.

Again. Obama won’t solve this any more than Clinton or Bush. We are still being kidded. There will no recovery without a job recovery. Jobs will not recover until the old exported jobs are returned or new non-government jobs are created and neither is happening.

The Clinton ‘the unemployed should learn computers’ has resulted in help centers throughout the world.
The Bush ‘tax cuts to create jobs’ has resulted in jobs being created in other nations..
The Obama ‘green jobs’ will likely be another job illusion.

If Americans are not working, they are not buying. If they are not buying, business is losing money. If business is losing money, they are not hiring. If business is not hiring, there is no recovery.

What we are seeing is the result of the fleece trade deals started by Clinton and magnified by Bush. We export jobs, import product and send dollars to pay for imports. Those spouting ‘we are sending only paper’ see that paper come back to buy our real estate, companies and treasuries. It is lose-lose for America.

Real trade is we buy product from you and you buy product from us. Let’s get started.

I’m with Bambi on this one!

I’m absolutely confident that Americans will wake up, realize what an incompetent corrupt lying marxist nincompoop he is, and throw his sorry a$$ out of office... along with his corrupt henchmen in Congress.

It’s a challenge, but we’ll rise to it.

We have always had officials who slanted data, puffed up the news for good or ill, selectively omitted or included certain facts to bias perceptions, who sometimes out-n-out lied.

For the first time in our history we now have a would-be dictator whose words have absolutely no relationship to reality, and a toady press unwilling to call him out. One can draw absolutely no reliable information from these words. They literally mean nothing.

Just a measure of the dire state of the Republic.

“whose words have absolutely no relationship to reality”....

The arrogance of Obama: “I know I’m lying but it doesn’t matter. It’s what I want you to think.”....

Sorry Charlie! You and your words suck!

May I point out it is not the role of the Government to “protect” jobs.. Even if factories do come back chances are they would mostly automated with robots.. Protectionism is not the answer.. Don’t forget there are good paying jobs in the South....

"May I point out it is not the role of the Government to “protect” jobs."

However it is the government's job to protect its citizens. This was not accomplished by government to government lobbyist trade deals that have caused economic ruin promising that this would create good jobs here with only the less skilled jobs being off-shored.

Obama has absolutely no background or experience upon which to base his fact free opinion.

I could similarly announce that I am confident the Washington Redskins are going to win the next Super Bowl.

And it is just as likely to happen as Obama’s prediction.

Look, this asshole never so much as ran a lemonade stand. He never served a day in the military. And he never worked in the health care field.

Now he is CIC, Czar of Health Care and CEO of Americas car companies and Wall Street in general. A bigger recipe for disaster has never existed in the USA, bar none including that dipsh6t LBJ.

Very true.

I try to do my part by sending my Federal Reserve Coupons to Russia. In exchange, they give me ammo. Works for me.

“Obama and his team have pointed to energy companies in citing ways to steady the economy and put people back to work.”

How can ‘energy companies’ put people to work when they can’t drill, can’t mine, can’t build nuclear plants, have punitive tax obligations and odorous environmental hurdles and laws?

Like Jim said today:

OBAMA IS AN IDIOT!!

LOL!!
