Climate Change: A suppressed EPA study says old U.N. data ignore the decline in global temperatures and other inconvenient truths. Was the report kept under wraps to influence the vote on the cap-and-trade bill? This was supposed to be the most transparent administration ever. Yet as the House of Representatives prepared to vote on the Waxman-Markey bill, the largest tax increase in U.S. history on 100% of Americans, an attempt was made to suppress a study shredding supporters' arguments.

Do you really think science or logic has anything to do with this?

I wonder how many who voted for this really believe in this BS.
It's not about global warming, it is about CONTROL.

Poppin’ a cap [and trade] in Americas ass...
Everyone should read this article on Goldman Sachs from Rolling stones magazine. I could not post it on main because it is via a blog, and you have to go there to read it. It turns out that Goldman stands to make a mint off from cap and trade according to the article. Makes sense too.

I just want to scream.
Its like seeing a train wreck, you can see it comin and there isn’t a DAMN thing you can do about it.
Maybe I am mixing things up. WHat were the Clintons’ claims?

“The report was recycled skeptical talking points. It was worthless as a contribution and right to be rejected. It was written by a couple of economists copying material from a skeptical Web site. Great stuff.”
Quite a few of those points, if not all, are correct. Which do you dispute?
The fact is the Earth is cooling, and rather rapidly over the last few years. I’m also of the view, based on the best science regarding solar cycles, that the cooling trend will likely continue, as mentioned, until 2030 or so.
The global warming alarmists are simply in the position of having their lovely theories demolished by pesky reality. Good thing natural variability turned the way it did, or we’d be really screwed...on the other hand, I think there’ll be quite an unfortunate backlash against science as the end result. The backlash should really be against ignorant politicians who aren’t educated enough to make good policy based on science.
It’s incredible how Zero and the Dems say that this will cost the average American “a postage stamp a day.” That’s about $15/month—or about the amount in “stimulus” in the form of lowered tax withholding, which was touted as a wonderful thing (by Dims). Did you hear anyone in the MSM decry that as “only about a postage stamp a day”? Didn’t think so. And if Zero and the Dems say $15/month for cap-in-the-@ss-and-trade, you can bet they’re off by at least a factor of 10.
By the way, I don’t mean to excuse scientific corruption. In cases where science data was altered, or results faked, there should be criminal prosecution.
I’m not making any claims about Hansen, GISS, and the surface temperature record, but the irregularities there are highly suspicious and should be THOROUGHLY investigated!
I’d like anyone to explain why they aren’t using any urban heat island corrections, for instance. There are widely reported siting and equipment problems with many “climate stations” as well.
Up until 2007, the IPCC was still engaged in the debate but then broke sharply away from entertaining any contradictory findings thinking they had made a convincing argument with already agreed supporters in various areas for regulatory controls and great cooperation among member nations.
Since then the supporting science itself has seen a recycling of most of that work in the form of metastudies all of which have served to rachet up the “call to action” while ignoring the skeptics or, even worse castigating them as irrational “deniers.”
It seems the whole effort now has devolved to a massive marketing process whereby anyone who fails to climb aboard will forever miss the train.
Anyone who seriously doubts the idealism and evangelistic fervor of the current state of affairs is turning a blind eye. As we stand idly by while this wholesale “skepticide” continues, we may need to suffer in silence as dissent is likely to be the next target of an overweening new world order of things.
Reference bump! ;-)
I used to run articles on my website PROVING that man is NOT responsible for past climate change, that the world has been COOLING for over a decade now, that carbon does NOT cause a climb in temperatures, that infact carbon numbers rise only AFTER temps rise- noth hte other way around- that these rises in temps ARE cyclical, that they follow sun solar events- when htere’s more sun spots, we grow warmer, when less, we grow colder- but ya know what? It’s all fallign on deaf ears because htis administration- and hte dems, could care less abotu hte science- could care less about FACTS, and coudl care less about how cap and trade is goign to ruin us- they smell $$ and NOTHING is goign to stop them from gettign to it- not hte law, not hte constitution, not hte science, nor hte FACTS!
They will NEVER be intellectually honest enough to admit this is a scam of gigantic proportions- We the people WILL suffer for hteir insatiable greed and lust for power!
[[It seems the whole effort now has devolved to a massive marketing process whereby anyone who fails to climb aboard will forever miss the train.]]
Thast is precisely right! The IPCC was made up of a mere 60 or so ‘scientists’, many of whom later recoutned how htey were pressured to report findings contrasry to what hte actual science indicated, and hwo have since recanted their eirlier statments on global warming.
I posted many many reports from Marc Morano, Sen Inhoffe’s former aid, that show reams and reams of scientific evidence proving man is not to blame, but it is all falling on deaf ears- I finally wrote to Sen Inhoffe about hte FACT that this issue is NOT abotu hte science anymore, and that it has become, as you say- finacially expedient to sign onto it regardless of hte facts, but NEVER got a response- most likely because he KNOWS that no matter how loud we squeel, the govenrment is NOT goign to stop SCAMMING us because there simply is so much $$ involved in ‘fixing’ the problem that we are NOT responsible for, and hte govenrment KNOWS that peopel are so guillible, and feel such self-loathing, that htey will do anythign to ‘atone’ for our uspposed enviro-sins.
not to mention dropping 300 more pages of legislation on the table at 3 am the day of the vote that could not be read by anyone.
So they took a 1,500 page document that had blank pages left in it to be filled in later and voted it in without even having seen or even possibly known about 1/5 of it!
The largest financial bill to ever hit the house and these IDIOTS just went along with it!
Every last one of them who voted for it should be tared and feathered. Talk about being lead around by the nose.
What is the title of the next book?
The Audacity of Congress?
The Audacity of Representatives?
2010!
