Bible buzz begins as hunters wait to view Ten Commandments box

Ark hunters and Bible enthusiasts are buzzing about a report that the Ark of the Covenant, the ancient container that holds the Ten Commandments, is expected to be unveiled in Rome today.

As WND reported, the patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world the unveiling of the Ark, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia, according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.

Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."

According to the Italian news agency, the announcement is expected to be made at 2 p.m. Italian time (8 a.m. Eastern) from the Hotel Aldrovandi in Rome. Pauolos will reportedly be accompanied by Prince Aklile Berhan Makonnen Haile Sellassie and Duke Amedeo D'Acosta.

"The Ark of the Covenant is in Ethiopia for many centuries," said Pauolos. "As a patriarch I have seen it with my own eyes and only few highly qualified persons could do the same, until now."

Bob Cornuke, biblical investigator, international explorer and best-selling author, has participated in more than 27 expeditions around the world searching for lost locations described in the Bible. A man some consider a real-life Indiana Jones, he has written a book titled "Relic Quest" about the Ark of the Covenant and participated in History Channel production called "Digging for Truth."

You said — Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Yeah, I’m familiar with that one. That’s the original in Heaven from which that pattern was given to Moses for the earthly one, that he was to make. It’s the earthly one that people are hunting for and want to know if it’s still around. The Heavenly one has been there all along, even before the earthly one was built.

Hebrews 8:4-5

4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;

5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

You were saying, Quix — IF it were/is the earthly model, WHEN it was transported to Heaven. Plausibly, it could be just before the Abomination of Desolation.

Well, if the earthly one was brought up, then they would have two up there... :-)

But, actually, in thinking about what you were saying about the Abomination of Desolation, you’ll notice that it’s the “earthly” false Messiah that will be standing in the Temple and also (maybe) there will be the earthly Ark of the Covenant in the Temple, too....

And that being so — while at the same time, there will be the true Messiah in Heaven, waiting to return, and the Heavenly Ark of the Covenant (shown from Heaven to be the true one and not the earthly copy).

Both the earthly false Messiah and the earthly Ark of the Covenant will be defiled and worthless after that (which is sort of “indicated” for the Ark of the Covenant, per Scripture).

And one might go further and say that the New Temple (Ezekiel’s Temple, the fourth Temple, built by the true Messiah, during the Millennial Kingdom) will contain the true Ark of the Covenant, and not the earthly one which was defiled (and never to be remembered again).

Anyway..., those are some thoughts...

Hotel Aldrovandi is one of the nicest Hotel in Rome ... very expensive.
One wondered why the Ark of Covenant whereabouts would have been unveiled there by obviously high living priests.

On to the next goof!
