STURM:My question to you is, outside the medical criteria for prolonging life for somebody elderly, is there any consideration that can be given for a certain spirit, a certain joy of living, quality of life? Or is it just a medical cutoff at a certain age?

GIBSON: But the money may not have been there for her pacemaker or for your grandmother's hip replacement.

OBAMA: But what we can do is make sure that at least some of the waste that exists in the system that's not making anybody's mom better, that is loading up on additional tests or additional drugs that the evidence shows is not necessarily going to improve care, that at least we can let doctors know and your mom know that, you know what? Maybe this isn't going to help. Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.
And those kinds of decisions between doctors and patients, and making sure that our incentives are not preventing those good decision, and that -- that doctors and hospitals all are aligned for patient care, that's something we can achieve.

Mengele Obama.
"Enter the Carousel. This is the time of renewal."
The man is a heartless bastard.
Okay bottom line is this guy is an asshole.
I take care of a friend who is 99 next week. For 20 years she has been my date to the ballet, dinners and someone I talk to and visit with.
When at the ballet gala’s we danced and I love her. Though she is some 60 years my senior. If you met her, you couldn’t help but be infected by her humor and amazed at her energy.
2 years ago she fell and broke her hip. She had a fine surgeon and he put 4 pins in to help it heal.
Unfortunately, the pins came loose and they operated for the 2nd time and removed them. Life is great and we are thinking she is just so strong.
Unfortunately, when you open the body you risk infection. She got MRSA.
They gave her antibiotics and we watched her for 3 months. The MRSA deteriorated the ball of her femur so they cut it off. They also scraped off what was left of her infection and continued the antibiotics. That was the 3rd operation in 9 months.
For the next 3 three months she walked, using a walker, with no ball to go in her hip socket. The pain was excruciating.
Nearly one year to the day, she had her fourth operation. They opened her up looked around the bone to ensure there was no artifact infection. Seeing none they proceeded to replace her hip.
The operation took just 1 hour. Fantastic. Here we are nearly 1 1/2 years later and she is doing great. She has to use a walker but she is strong as ever.
A very high spirited woman who never let the bastards get her down and always sees the sun or waits for the rainbow.
Imagine. You are 97 you break your hip and it requires 4 operations to fix it and it works!
Glory to God and the finest surgeons and the teams he had helping him. Additionally, you would not find more caring nurses. She spent nearly 6 months in the hospital off and on.
Today she lives in her house with her cat. No one tells her what to do and she goes everywhere. And I mean everywhere. From Florida to Mexico. Dinners at restaurants, where she orders her own food. The Ballet and Gala’s, where we dance once again. Her family visits her all the time and she goes to see them.
She is loved and valued by her family and friends.
At 99 she is truly blessed and lives a full life.
And the price tag or value of her to us and us to her?
And I will repost or amend this story every time this stupid rationing or eugenics comes up.
FUBO!
My Aunt Marion is 85 and goes to Las Vegas by herself to visit friends. Obama’s got two strikes against her.
You know, I was commenting to a friend not long ago that a remake of Logan’s Run is due...
What a GREAT story! My dream....to be dancing at 99!!!
Eugenics lies at the heart of the progressive movement. ....as has for about a century.
My grandmother-in-law lived in her own home up to the last couple weeks of her life. She had a massive stroke and had to move to a hospise. She died at 104.
Yep! and her 100 birthday party is already being planned. Reseravation have been made and we expect 350-400 people.
Is she a Jew!
You can see it in all that he does. He has firmly established that he's a sociopathic narcissist, but what other "illnesses" does he have?
Don’t plan on going past retirement age, folks.
I have decided that the Cap ‘n Tax and the Health thing are merely bills that no congress person will read. These bills will serve as blank checks to cover states’ insolvencies. Then, the taxes, fees and restrictions will provide their continuance.
Congree humans should just go home. They are irrelevant, corrupt and corrupt. Not even reading bills negates their purpose.
Ain’t that cool? Good for her. Do it your way, it’s your life and you don’t live with your parents.
104, that is amazing. You are lucky to have had her so long.
We (the people) will decide if the government is too corrupt and tyrannical to exist. ...and we have the tools to enforce our decision.
Wake up America!
What “evidence” could Obama possibly have that any test or treatment given to anyone’s mom was “not really needed”?
In most hospitals they would call this medical malpractice.
