Your answer...Not entrapment, just good old opposition research wedded to the politics of personal destruction...sounded to me like he was not completely and solely responsible for what happened to him. Wrong.

If the GOP has not figured out by now holding that position is killing the party they will never learn.

What astounds me more than a corrupt politician are people who believe their lives are somehow made better by the government and look to these people to be surrogate mothers/fathers.

All he needs to do is become a Democrat and all will be forgiven...

I agree. While I have no respect for any man who cheats on his wife and children...and no matter what excuse they use they are cheating on their children too...his general behavior in this matter is just too flaky to allow trust.

I believe they probably look at what the government is supposed to be in their minds, much more than the individuals.

dang... this guy needs to resign ,he cannot be trusted.

Not entrapment, just good old opposition research wedded to the politics of personal destruction. Frankly, I don't even think this qualifies as "opposition research" of any kind. The guy is a sitting governor, and he ran off, unannounced, to another country, to have an affair. If the media wasn't trying to track down sitting governors who leave the state (and the country) unannounced and without telling anyone where he is going or when he will be back, that would be a problem, regardless of which party the governor belonged to.
As bad as Obama has been, and as much as the media has effectively been an extension of his campaign (and now, as President, his perpetual campaign), I don't think this story has anything to do with any of that.

Japanese men have a long and accepted history of having mistresses within the upper ruling class. It is socially acceptable or at least people turn a blind eye to the practice.

I agree he should resign. It is people like him and in positions of power who are letting us all down.
They engage in poor behavior and are unable to stop this nightmare that is happening to our country because they are subject to blackmail and exposure.
Totally irresponsible.
Obama and the democrats included.
I would hope any more of these idiots would just resign and get it over with.

TERM LIMITS on EVERY POLITICAL POSITION in this country! FYI, fox news says he is term limited and can not run for reelection as governor.

There aren't words strong enough for how disappointed I am in this guy. He had a shot to do something really important with his life, and he blew it all on some broad in Argentina.
What a disgrace.

Palin is one of the very few politicians I can think of who I truly believe is honest.

Who takes over? Perry? Palin? Barbour?
To: Antoninus
He’s destroyed his career, his family and the trust of the people in his state over a piece of tail. Amazing isn’t it?
