Our dear FRiend and FReeper extraordinaire nutmeg is having major surgery today. Her neurosurgeon will be repairing a complicated spine problem that has caused nutmeg significant discomfort for a lengthy time.

Nutmeg is a dedicated conservative, attending countless FReeps and other conservative gatherings from New England to Washington D.C. for many years. We look forward to seeing her again at many more conservative events.

I just found this thread and was so relieved to see the great updates! Thank you NN for relaying everything to us. Nutmeg and Zelig are what Freepers and Freeping are all about. They personify it! Great people just by who they are, and especially because they are like-conservatives.

Nutmeg mentioned a back problem one time, but I had no idea that it would require surgery. How nice to hear that all was successful. What a relief to her and to Zelig.

Thank you dear Lord for guiding the surgeons and all those entrusted to care for our dear Nutmeg.

Now — you take care during the healing process, Tara!! Sit at the computer if you can, but use some cushions for support! You hear?

My goodness so many people have back problems that manifest in many ways. Many of us bend over backwards (if we could) to avoid surgery. I pray that there is success for her & the symptoms/problems are alleviated.

I have been at several events with her on east coast. She & her hubby are great people

Hope Nutmeg is coming along today.

Nutmeg’s husband Zelig called this evening (while I was out) to report she is awake and alert. The surgery took about half as long as they had originally anticipated. He sounded very relieved. All news thus far is positive!
