Correct me if I’m wrong, but, from a military guy, “ma’am” is more of an honorific than “senator”.

I heard Megyn Kelly on Fox say she did not like what Boxer did. because he was trying to show respect such as the military does and she reprimanded him. She is a creep.

Boxer single-handedly brings down the collective IQ of the Senate at least 20 points.

I think he should have tried “Madame” instead. Long John Nebel of all-night radio fame in the 50’s—70’s used that word to disarm overbearing women. They’d invariably yell “I’m not a madame” at him and he’d have a rather predictable reply for that at the ready.(”then are you a participant?”)

20 Points? That’s mild. Between Boxer and Pelosi, the “Fog Index” is around 6.

I thought the general was being rather kind, I could think of a lot less complementary things to call the cretin.

The only person that needs to be addressed by title is the President and that is only out of respect for the office, not the person.

“ma’am” is the female respect term, with men it is “sir”

methinks senator “boxer-shorts” doth protest overly much about being treated as a power-lady

When an officer speaks to another and uses “sir” or “ma’am” he/she is acknowledging that the person being spoken to is superior in rank to the officer speaking.

That’s the way I understand it, pathetic narcissist in the senate. Does she not realize a General works harder than a senator?

If you’re in the senate it means you won a popularity contest if you’re a general it means you’ve won the respect of those you command and those who have commanded you..

What he should do is the next time he calls a male Senator “Sir”, he should visibly stop and say “I’m sorry Senator. I should not a denigrated you by calling you “sir”, I will call you “Senator” as I’m sure you worked hard for that title and want to be reminded constantly of how important you really are.”
