ABC is refusing paid ads for its health care program at the White House. Thus they're refusing even a paid-for alternative viewpoint.
Conservatives for Patients Rights requested the rates to buy a 60 second network spot immediately preceding the broadcast of the Town Hall meeting.
Here is statement from Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients Rights.
"It is unfortunate - and unusual - that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers' money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC's decision - as of now - to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider."

I wonder if anyone will organize a protest outside of ABC HQ while this little propaganda event is being aired? If it can be done to Letterman, it can be done to ABC.
When is this stuff on? I hope that the other nets (probably singlar net = FNC)have some programming that blows away ABC’s viewership for this fiasco.
“Boycott” implies that one still watches ABC and because of this action taken by said media outlet, one is seeking a ‘boycott.’
How about just stop watching ABC period? ;-)
I can not remember the last time I switched to ABC to watch ANYTHING.
When will people realize the dissent is unpatriotic! s/
Fox needs to have an hour long show up against it with alternative ideas. Let’s see who wins in the ratings.
It IS stunning! I would have thought NBC would be the first to formally move into the WH.
Well, we'll be presented with all sides - as long as they agree with the Anointed One...
Bingo!
Excellent idea.
RE: “Boycott ABC all day, every day”

Yes, though it means skipping episodes of “The Bachelor/Bachelorette” — hmmm.... on second thought, no problem!
Boycott ABC and its advertisers!
[Fox needs to have an hour long show up against it with alternative ideas. Lets see who wins in the ratings.]
That’s a great idea. And take paid advertising.
What is so sad is that if wasn’t for Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh, and perhaps just a handful of other people, ABC would be getting away with it.
No one so-called journalist has expressed any concern about this, or any other of the fawning stories, specials and articles that have been written thus far in Obama’s tenure.
It’s troubling beyond description.
20/20’s advertisers would be a good start. They will be running obama’s health care show.
SO why can’t we have a TEA PARTY sort of gathering in front of the WH that day or evening, or whenever they shoot the infomerical?? This is getting out of hand and if we don’t stop it now, we’ll never stop it....LOOK at what’s happening in Iran! You’d think we would do the same...you’d think! It’s biting us in the arse and all we can do is hold our breath and hope for the best outcome...BS!!!! Where the hell are our leaders....UGH!!
One concern I have with the effectiveness of boycotts is rooted in the whitehouse. Not even ABC would turn down an opposing viewpoit that they get paid for. I really have to wonder if they know they’ll get taxpayer dollars no matter what?
ABC studios are right in the heart of Times Square.
